Hello Arkansas baws - hope I'm not interrupting what y'all have here on the ArkansasRant! Figured this was the best place to ask:

I'm visiting Fayetteville/NWA, and I was wondering if there are some good non-popular attractions around town I can visit/view!

Thanks y'all.

If you are willing to drive a little more then I would recommend Pea Ridge military park.

And just a few miles north of Pea Ridge is a place called whistling springs brewery.

They serve all kinds of craft beers. They also have all you can eat peanuts and popcorn. They open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

They cook wood oven pizzas which are one of the best pizzas I ever had. Sometimes they will have chicken and dumplings or different choices depending on the week.

If you're into aviation Thaden Fieldhouse in Bentonville is a fun little stop for plane watching. There's a pretty decent restaurant that serves breakfast/lunch there.

Is the train to Alma and back still running? I've taken that trip with the bride and it was an enjoyable day, bottle of wine helped also.

I actually know her outside of the club. The last time I talked to her she'd finally got straight. All of her kids are college graduates and she's living with one of her daughters somewhere near Conway I think. But that was from a decade ago so your mileage will vary.

The Arkansas Air Museum should probably just bite the bullet and move from Drake Field to the Bentonville Airport. I would assume the Walton family would approve of this and it would bring the museum far more revenue and traffic.

I heard that her kids were college graduates. That's pretty amazing. I had a buddy of mine that loved going there because of her. He never would tell me why, but he always talked about Vanessa at Bottoms Up

She was... a character. Uhm. Yeah. She didn't so much solicit tips as sexually assault you. All while looking like an elderly black grandma. Which she was. It was different... but when she wasn't hustling people for money she was a real sweetheart.
