Food in NWA is very disappointing for the most part.

For the downvoters...Sorry you've never had good food. Need to head south. WAAAAAAAAAY south! Start in NO and work you're way up north. You'll see how different it is.

For all the money in NWA, you mf'ers must have some weak bellies, hate seasonings and flavor and love boiled food.

If you are willing to drive far, go to the wooden spoon in Gentry.

It isn't a short drive but it is worth the trouble as the food is made from scratch.

Grab you a Jim's Razorback Pizza, and take it to Bottoms Up.

Yes Wright's is better but you get a lot of food at Joe's.

One plate is enough for two dinners.

They can be a bit hit or miss. Sometimes the food is pretty good (they do a good shrimp gumbo when it is on the menu) and sometimes it leaves something to be desired.

As for pizza... I hate to admit this and be shunned for life on here, but we have a Casey's just up the street and their pizza is perfectly average, greasy, and gets here in a matter of minutes. I find that I prefer that to a lot of places up here.

Came to say Taste of Thai a must hit. Wish we had any decent Thai in Little Rock (if we do please let me know). Pesto cafe was always money for Italian. Geraldis as mentioned was also great usually cheap lunch too. Mama deans was fire when she actually paid her bills. Seemed like a crap shoot if it was gonna be open or not. Rip Charlie’s chicken too.

“ Food in NWA is very disappointing for the most part.”

I’m a serious foodie from Louisiana and it’s pretty dang good up here.

The Cajun place in Fayetteville is straight out of Louisiana. The gumbo at Fish city grill in Roger’s is one of the best I’ve ever had. Hugo’s makes a great burger. Catfish John’s is stupid good. Local lime has the best margaritas and chicken nachos in Arkansas. Wrights bbq has the best brisket I’ve ever tasted in the whole world. Little Italian spot in cave springs. Ozark bagels on the square is the best in Arkansas. I get 3 lbs of smoked chicken from Whole Hog for gumbos, po boys, and chicken spaghetti 4 times a year. The buttered biscuit has the best biscuits and gravy and Açaí bowl in America. And Casey’s has the best pizza south of Chicago and North of Johnnys. Jk
