I sure hope. Lord knows this team is hurting. Probably wouldn't hurt if they got a little high.

Do Mustain and Malzahn get along at all? I wouldn't figure they did.

I was under the impression there was friction there, especially from Mustain’s end.

Didn’t have some pointed comments about Gus in either the documentary about him or an interview fairly recently?

ETA - judging from his twitter, the tweet about moving was just sarcasm. He has other tweets about throwing his hat in the ring for AD or SID. Some of his barns are sort of funny in a weird humor sort of way.

Nothing to see here.

Will his parents cry when things don't go his way?

Not sure, but I am fairly certain the Mustain family absutely loathes Malzahn.

His mom (yes, she seems a bitch) said that Malzahn in particular betrayed their entire family in that ordeal. She said it was like if she were to take someone's kid to the beach and when the kid got pulled in the riptide that she just walked away without calling the EMTs or anyone. Lol. Less than flattering

Absolutely.
It is mind boggling to me that anyone could seriously want that dude to be our coach. He is a world class prick. I believe Bobby Petrino is a better human being than Gus Malzahn and that isn't saying much. At all.

The Mustains are over dramatic, yes, but I think Gus pretty much saved his own arse in the 2006 ordeal, didn't have the players backs, and bolted. That's why they felt betrayed.

I attended a premier screening a few yrs ago of the Mustain doc and his whole family was sitting right behind me and he did a short Q&A after the film. He never said anything bad about Gus and actually complimented him on his coaching abilities, his family also seemed hurt and pissed by what Gus did, but not the absolute hatred you could see all of them had for especially Nutt, but Frank as well. They truly loathed Nutt.

Mustain also said that he had not talked to Gus basically since 2007. He said he would like to maybe one day become a QB coach on his staff if things changed but didn't really see it happening anytime soon. Granted all this was said 2 or 3 yrs ago.

In saying all that, I still don't want him as our coach....if we're going after a guy with Ark connections with some character concerns ... I'm all for the Lane Train... Not the bus....

I don’t know him from Adam, but Mustain strikes me as fairly immature in a “lost child” sort of way.

He chased pro football in Canada and the Arena league, then decided he was going to give minor league baseball a shot, then announced he was going to join Army (which looks like never happened), then he’s in a documentary about himself he doing that circuit. He’s almost 30 and it looks like he’s never held a real job.

Still, frick everyone involved in that whole debacle (the adults).

There is no doubt this was tongue in cheek, humor.. .why I posted it.

I would imagine he still loathes Nutt and Malzahn!
