I expect more late game theatrics this afternoon. Is ramage our most trusted rested arm out of the pen? I’m sure ole miss is in the same boat.

It didn’t feel random that he got 2.2 innings in those lower pressure situations. Think that might have been an Easter egg. He’s a strike thrower that has off speed in his arsenal and isn’t likely to lose his lunch under pressure. Maybe I’m reaching.

Morris can probably be used in a pinch. He only threw 15 pitches last night, 25 on Monday night.

Taylor threw 31 last night and 24 on Monday night. Given this being a kitchen sink game, I could see him being brought in to get out of an inning if needed.

Wiggins threw 47 against Ole Miss on Monday. He's potentially good for an inning, but no more than that. No different than if he was fully rested.

Zeb and Ramage should be fine. Ramage threw 22 on Monday night and hasn't pitched since.

We also have guys like Ledbetter, Trest, and even Starks if needed. But we'll be in deep shite if we have to get that far into our pen.

We won't see Tygart again this season unless we have a huge lead, and even then I'm not sure there's a lead big enough to make the coaches comfortable putting him in given his control issues.

Does anyone know the Ole Miss bullpen situation?

Maybe start medicine man and bring in Gregory in the sun in your face innings?

The good news is that it's supposed to partly cloudy to cloudy in Omaha this afternoon, so ideally the sun shouldn't be nearly as much of a factor for the defense, especially the left fielders.

These baws are soft these days.

I believe they’re in pretty good shape overall.

Tygart needs to be used in middle relief so he can get some confidence back.

No chance.

Unless we have an insurmountable lead or are getting blown the F out, we’re likely not going to see him until fall ball.

Pretty good overall but I am glad that we did see Washburn and Dougherty last night for a couple innings each. Even if we didn’t hit them particularly well. Should help if they have to go back to either of them tonight - particularly Dougherty.

What's crazy is that if he survives those two bad pitches without hitting the batters he may have settled in and been fine. Game of inches and both pitches ran a little too much. I could see DVH doing with him what he did with Morris. A chance to redeem himself somewhere low pressure. If we make the championship series we will need him and everyone else that could possibly throw a pitch.

I swear I should only watch this team with a high blood pressure medication IV drip going.

I don’t like the idea of burying Tygert.

Hopefully we can find a low pressure situation to let him come in and do some good.

Brutal off season for him right now but would be much worse if we had lost to OSU or last night.

Just wanted to remind everyone what a job Evan Taylor did yesterday. Dude was nails when we needed him to be.

If DVH didn't take out Tygart out, not only is the season over but Tygart's confidence could be gone for good.

Morris was a senior and simply didn't let the pressure get to him.

So...my plan is once we beat Ole Miss again this afternoon I will:

1. watch ticket prices drop and purchase
2. find proper lodging

Is this the way?

Wiggins can be good in short action. He was blowing it by Ole Miss for one inning on Monday.

But we doubled down and trotted him back out, and the dice came up snake eyes.

He was nails earlier this year, but this isn’t midseason Brady Tygart anymore.

His last five outings:
- Ole Miss (game 2): 0.0 IP, 2 HB
- UNC (game 2): 1.0 IP, 1 BB
- OSU (game 2): 0.2 IP, 4 H, 4 ER
- OSU (game 1): 1.2 IP, 1 H, 3 BB, 2 ER
- Florida: 0.1 IP, 1 H, 2 ER
- Vanderbilt: 2.0 IP, 2 H, 1 BB, 3 ER

That’s 1 solid outing in 5, and a total of 11 earned allowed over 5.2 IP.

Ok so I’m a bit of a superstitious guy. Hogs are undefeated in any sport where I set up my phone to watch while running on my treadmill, so I plan on leaving work early and doing just that I will sacrifice my body for as long as it takes
