When you have 13 scholarship players, there's no reason a good coach can't rebuild an entire program within 3-4 years.
Are you saying Mike didn't do that? We went from setting records for low attendance to regularly selling out a 19,000 seat arena. You can't be serious.

I'm confused on the Missouri thing. What is there to talk about with them?

Do you like how imbalanced the roster is?
If we have a losing season next year, what will your thoughts be?
And at what point is it fair to expect a sweet 16? Ever?

So the other programs in our league, with lesser tradition and facilities, are hiring good coaches who can recruit the players it takes to succeed and Arkansas is incapable of that. We should all be thrilled with mediocrity being the ceiling. Got it.

How many guys are on a basketball roster? 10ish? It takes 7 years to build a team of 7-10 respectable players? Jesus.
Do you follow Arkansas basketball or are you just trolling? It hasn't taken that long at all, Mike has had good teams already. They got snubbed in just his third year.

That would be a bad season. It would also be Mike's first losing season in his career.

We were a few bad calls from doing it last year. Are you saying if Mike had won one more game last year you wouldn't be here complaining?

The answer to this question is yes, but Mike put himself in position to play UNC in the second round by losing to the likes of Missouri last year. The consistent regular season inconsistency means we will always have to play better teams earlier in the tournament that will carve up our "defense."

He did do that, my statement was more along the lines that "taking over a dumpster fire" has no bearing on a college basketball coach's 7th year (I'm not sure it's a valid argument for even a football coach).
Our program trajectory seems to be pointed noticeably downward and that's very disappointing at this stage in Anderson's tenure.

Uh, it has a bearing on his first few years though. And you're including those years when you say "7 years" aren't you?

That's just objectively false. Last year we were an 8 seed, this year a 7. In his first two years we didn't even make the NIT.

One game my arse. 2 tourney wins in 7 years. That's a hell of a lot more than one disappointing game. What planet do you even live on, bro? People bitching after 7 years of mediocrity and you're bitching we're too "reactionary".
Remember this is the same arse hat who cried when Bert got canned. Stonehog is never for firing losers. because he is one.

All the excuses can be made but the fact is Mike is just an average coach.
Avery is in his 3 year with a tournament win under his belt and is going Toe to Toe with Nova.

This is starting to sound like an argument defending Nutt during the last few years of his tenure.

So you think we're not going to have worse teams than this in Mike's 8th and 9th year?

I remember pretty vividly you being a staunch long/Bert hate contrarian during his final waddle.

Do you like the fact that we don't scout other teams?
Mike said exactly that in the SECT and it was blatantly obvious yesterday.

They were fricking awful the last 3 years.
Gonzo martin shows up and makes the NCAAT with them without half of their team.
Porter Jr didn't even play all year.
