This much??? Agreed.
Sam can be better than both and begin to show some problems in his coaching/hires, etal... Right?
But to be honest, I like sam, But would really like Briles as HC here one day. I do believe he is that good!

Kliff Kingsbury is in Thailand if anyone wants to send a plane.

So only Saban results are acceptable? Guess we better get him on the phone. Maybe if he has a good interview we can let Kirby coach the defense too. I'm sure Kingsbury will hop on the first flight to come coach our offense.
How many SEC coaches have 2 winning seasons and two bowl wins the last 2 years? What are acceptable results? What has happened that makes him "out of his league"?

Regardless of how anyone feels about Briles, leaving now after #Runitback, is not a good look for him.

1. All I said is that your logic made zero sense.
2. I don't know what our acceptable results are but the bar is not Chad Morris

It works both ways... Perhaps Sam and HY ran the numbers back...
All I know is something is way off about this. And I choose to believe it includes others, not just Briles
Anywho... New thread incoming!

Hogville not allowing any KB posts until Otis Irwin or Dudley report it as fact.

It's only news if the three stooges reports it

Why do want Briles here so much?
Posted on 1/18/23 at 5:20 pm to dchog
I believe, if left alone there would have been 2 more wins this season.
Go back to BYU and re-watch the liberty before Pittman asked him to slow it down, burn clock.
His scheme is really, really good overall with the right players. He can recruit, and KJ has improved leaps and bounds with Briles as his OC/Coach.
I think, like so many times, we are going to see him succeed elsewhere while we Oline coach our way to mediocre prior to Sam leaving. JMHO of course

This is the only part of your post I slightly disagree with. I feel like a true "QB whisperer" OC could've improved KJ leaps and bounds and really opened up his passing skill set in 2+ years of starting experience, while Briles simply schemed his play calls around his existing skill set.
We have a 2 year SEC starter that can throw deep bombs with laser accuracy outside the hashes/near the sidelines all day. But he still has his same beginner-level touch on short and intermediate passes, especially in the middle of the field and less than 10-15 yards. This is a lot of the reason our TEs have gone without much action vs. other teams out there, those routes and passes are their receiving bread and butter.
KJ still holds the ball too long at times and elects to run at times when he shouldn't - luckily for us he's a 225 pound battering ram and can handle that. But KJ won't be here much longer, and the next QBs up don't have the same size and strength he does. They also probably won't have the strength and accuracy on those deep balls, so their short and intermediate game will have to be developed.
I'm not knocking Briles by any means, he's a great OC and arguably one of the best in the nation. For all we know, they tried to work on KJs touch on short and intermediate passes over the middle every day for 3 years now, and he just can't do it.
I just wouldn't say that Briles has "improved KJ leaps and bounds" like your post, Rev.

KJ developed to a point.
Hornsby shows no development.
No one else stayed long enough to evaluate.

Was told just a bit ago that this would not be happening if Pittman would’ve stuck to his word.
So take that for what it’s worth…seems like something happened between Briles turning down State and the TCU OC opening up with Pittman and KB.
I heard that Tommy Boyer and George's Chicken were working really hard to get Kendal the money he deserves, but that Sam and Julie Cromer-Peoples devised a scheme to actually cut Kendal's pay and run him off

My sources say he may not be leaving still.
