Everyone says that, but why? He wasn’t good at his last stops.
Besides the Cutler year he was pretty bad and tied to one of the biggest losers in the history of the NFL.
That being said, I'd still be willing to give him a shot.
Whatever at this point and he's a good recruiter.

He's going to be a head coach somewhere this year. No way he'd come here to be an OC.

Yeah. Averaging more than 30 pts per game has been awful.
Averaging 30 points per game is solid, but ain't what it used to be. It plants us firmly at 51st in the country and 9th in the SEC. Our yards per game is 27th and 5th, respectively.
That reflects the main issue I have with him: he tends to put up a ton of empty yards and then stalls. At the end of the day, an offensive coordinator's job is to put the ball in the end zone.

If we were actually in the OC market I’d take a look at GJ Kinne. Head coach at incarnate ward and former Tulsa QB. Young guy but averaged 50ppg and led IW to a 10-1 record this season

Prevailing assumption at the moment is that he may replace Montgomery as HC at Tulsa.

I would think so, but also figured he would have at least be linked to some jobs, and does he want a G5 job?

Yes, yes he called those fumbles, HRV.
I know I shouldn't have responded, but he was just posting the results of our initial drives.

I'm sorry you're upset little troy
Here's the verbiage he used on Briles: Shitty, abysmal at preparation and game planning, sloppy, not good.
Again, I know I've offended you by responding to someone else's post, and I hope you can heal. God bless you, seriously.

Yes, but it was too much for you to apply and accept that verbiage to the overwhelming majority of the team's initial drives. You had to make an inane assertion, rather than absorb the information being given, showing a glaring shittiness about Briles offense, because you don't want to admit he ain't that great.
I'm not upset little harry, nor am I offended. Just trying to illustrate your own posting style back to you, so that you may get a clue. Carry on.

Khari Johnson and Eric Thomas have hit the portal.

Probably because he fumbled. Not saying I agree with the decision though.

Also, from elsewhere... but good, solid news. will add once things are sure to the 1st post. WPS
Florida OL Joshua Braun is visiting this weekend. Once committed to Pittman at UGA. Feel really good about him committing this weekend.
Stanford DB Johnathan McGill is very interested in Arkansas and it’s looking like we will add the Stanford Team captain. Senior DB
A&M commerce WR is looking really good for us as well.

quote:Just gonna have to agree to disagree. Briles wasn't the reason we couldn't score in the red zone this year. He did exactly what everyone was begging him to do and it still didn't work because the O-line was arse. People want to pretend like we're still running reverses inside the 10 when the reality is we lined up and got stuffed more times than not. We couldn't line up and get one damn yard against Liberty but somehow it's the playcalling and scheme that's holding is back? Not buying it.
Briles isn't as bad as some make him out to be, but the apologists who continually point to yardage as if that's the telltale mic drop stat need to stop. Points on the board are what matter, and there's been a sizeable discrepancy between our yardage output and our scoring, especially in the red zone.

After sending the running back in motion, so everyone knew KJ would be the carrier. Not going to make excuses for the O line, they were arse. But there were literally hundreds of things that could have been done to improve the short yardage situation. Not every misdirection play has to involve 4 people handling the ball. And did you see one single attempt where it was student body left, while the QB runs right? Why not?

Not every running play in the red zone was a QB keeper but alright.

Bottom line is against a school of liberty’s caliber we should be able to tell them the play call and mash it for 2 and a half yards for the 2pt. The o line sucked out loud
