Petrino Offense during his coaching career
I think you can see the outlier years here and factor them in as you choose.
Give me BMFP with a decent DC and plenty of money to assemble a team and I’ll show you a 5 year stretch that will be successful and then we can move forward when he retires

What’s crazy is a lot of those guys on defense are P4 transfers and the offense is G5 and FCS guys. Really puzzling

Disregard. Thought you were talking about the MSU guys

I think I’d rather have a productive FCS starter like Andrew Armstrong over a part-time starter or someone buried on a depth chart at a bigger school like Crutchfield. Just seems like they hit more often.

they played and got game tape and experience. They have chips on their shoulders and they haven't been coddled. They just want it more.

But FayetteNAMBLA said BMFP sucked. I'm confused.
First of all: I don’t know who you are, but I’m glad you think of me.
Secondly: my thoughts on Bobby, he is 64 that’s too old to win a championship, maybe not with 16. He has burned down every program at the end of his tenures. Is that always his fault? If you believe in radical accountability, yes. If you want to be generous, he made choices that most of us would have made for better jobs and better pay. When you are 40ish and a hot 20 something wants to milk you; many men have fallen for that. His burn out after his father passing at Louisville could happen to anyone.
What I don’t like about Bobby, he is a cantankerous twat of a person. You can see the old Bobby coming out in press conferences, but I don’t have to deal with him, so that’s a moot point to me. His offenses are still magical, and can’t really be slowed down. He will be 70ish when this contract he gets is over at the earliest. Even Saban said nah at 71.
We have a weak AD. Which is why Hunter needs to go. IF Bobby is hired we would need a new AD to say you are stuck with this DC, he can only be fired by me, you undermine him in your contract it will be terminated at the end of the year. He has no leverage, no other major p4 wants him. That and we need a football only GM. Because Bobby sucks as a person you need someone else to take his and a DC evaluations in consideration.
Bobby is still and can be an effective coach, but no DC wants to work with him. Luckily for him his offense is great we just need a top 50ish DC.

OK. So we really agree with each other. I just think, and I may be very wrong, but I think he's the best option we can get but I'm fine with going after a Dillingham, the GT coach or another true home run hire. I am intrigued by the GT coach, but I know what BP can do and will do. I think we can get a little better D coordinator as the NIL spending will be up to the donors more than the coach.
I think we need to overhaul our NIL and start appealing to a wider donor base that is largely being ignored. Want me to donate? Come to me and make it easy. F#$k you online forms and shite. I'm not talking about those $10 $20 $100 donors. I'm talking about getting groups in different areas of the state to raise funds. I guarantee I could go out and get a $million or 2 locally if we had the right coach and they knew exactly where the money was going. shite can go straight to the players/coaches etc without all the middle man grift. DC says he needs a stud pass rusher? Give us a list. Same for O-line.
I for one would focus my money on a badass O-line and D-line. And quality backups. We depend too much on our BIG BIG money donors and forget about our big money donors.

I’m not. He had a generational for Arizona State running back. A person looking for CTE. He spent his whole life in the area and is living his dream. I don’t think things like that can be moved elsewhere.

I’ve said for years, since NIL started, we should go get Nutt and have him shaking babies and kissing hands. If Sam had left last year, I’d have him out there too. DMC, DJ Williams, Tyler Wilson etc.. just doing drinking golf events etc..

This is why there isn’t a wrecking ball of a school, and why we could win with 16 teams next year. I think we could get a quality 6 on each side, and a better than most p4 back ups with the money.

why are you leaving out 2021?
Because it's really apples to oranges to compare stats between Mo State and Arkansas. So, I chose the first 7 games in KB's last year at Arkansas compared to CBP's first 7 games this year since I thought that was more reasonable. But, if you insist, here ya go:
Mo State 2021 (CBP) Arkansas 2021 (KB)
Games Played = 12 13
PPG = 34.25 30.9
Avg Pass = 283.25 213.9
Avg Rush = 152.7 227.8
Avg Total = 435.9 441.7
Comparing two coaches from entirely different schools, conferences, and levels of football doesn't reveal much, but one thing is clear: both are great offensive minds who happened to work under a head coach who was clearly in over his head.
The key difference is that many of us can acknowledge that KB is one of the most promising young offensive minds in the game today. But you're so caught up in your dislike for Bobby that you can't admit he's still one of the best to ever do it and still has it.
I honestly can't tell if you're too touched or just unwilling to do the research, too biased to care, or just here to stir the pot. Either way, it's obvious you're more interested in pushing a narrative than backing it up with facts.
Cue the part where you cherry-pick Bobby's three down years (one was his first year at UofA) out of a 17-year head coaching career conveniently ignoring that those are the only seasons he didn’t win at least eight games. Like it or not, CBMFP is a proven winner and has succeeded everywhere he’s been.

DVH is 65.....
Age doesn't matter the shelf life of a HC is 4-6 years unless they win a championship anyway.
