I think Biddy threw that number out. That’s what it will take to get a decent coach now days. Beard is making 19 over 6 years right now.

A few certain BOT members have told Yurachek to go get the best possible and not worry about money. Whether that takes 4 or more is anybody’s guess. But it probably will

Honestly im happy as a pig in shite with our football hire. Nick saban wasnt getting us to a bowl game last year. Yeah a better in game coach might have pulled out 4 or 5 wins but that was the absolute best that team was achieving. With morris we got a guy who can recruit his arse off and i fully expect a night and day change starting next year

After all of this I really don't know what to feel... I mean I feel bad for Mike and all.... I'm a coach myself so I don't do the "let's fire this guy" thing until I've really lost hope....(Like BB in football)
But on the other hand it was time for a change. We got back to ok... now it's time to go be great again.
personally my top 5 in this order would be:
1. Buzz
2. Beard
3. Sampson
4. Marshall
5. Shaka
I realize that Sampson is the most likely scenario but it never hurts to wish.

Sampson is as far we will get. And that’ll be fine. We’ll get someone who actually coaches basketball and has energy to go out and recruit and do it well. Dude has been in the NCAAs in just about every year he’s been a HC at this level

It was. 99% of people thought it was a great hire and Wisconsin fans were salty as hell with Bielema for leaving.
