That Gaines whiff reminded me exactly of a play he had in the spring game. Don't understand what he was trying to accomplish diving at the guy's feet like that. Seems to go for the big hit a lot and it costs him sometimes.

Did anyone see Drew Morgan or Demetrius Wilson out there?

Eh if Allen doesn't fumble the snap with under three to go we probably win the game.

Serious question regarding this: Why are we subbing out the fricking center? Any other position I'm ok with, but the center spot is critical. I know we want to get Ragnow in there, but if our center cant go an entire game, then we either sit him, change our conditioning program or let him play all of the snaps.

Got to fix this.

Even if we have reason to question some late offensive calls, with the benefit of hind sight, there were much more obvious causes that took the game away - stupid penalties, bobbled snaps, don't know what happened on the FG that should have put the game away. Eliminate any ONE of those execution mistakes and we win. Regardless of the play calling.

So many missed opportunities to seal the victory...

I can't remember a more difficult loss.

No offense, but before I jump on board. We're gonna have to win a fricking game and not give up 35 points. Or a two TD lead late in the fourth. And they had several receivers drop TD's or fall down. No doubt the defense is improved, but I reserve praise once I see results. In two conference games we've given up 80 pts. Not too fricking good. I think sustained drives by the O has made the D look better.

Would have to go back to Florida in '09 or '06. But this probably tops those games. So, Tennessee 1998.

Florida...SEC championship game. Were beating their arse. Reggie Fish. Would've been our first SEC championship with perhaps the most talented team we will ever have. Don't forget all we had on D that played in the NFL.

Sugar Bowl..nuff said. And I was at that shite show.

The "almost Razorbacks". We always "almost win". frick that shite. We need a whole new mentality. frick excuses. They don't float in the real world. You pay a man $3.6/yr to win these fricking games....PERIOD. Could I do better? Hell yeah I could. Wanna prove me wrong? Gimme that contract. shite...at worst I can go two years winless in conference.

Nah. With the calls and shitty spots we were getting. I knew the only way we could win that was to blow them the frick out.

So, morning after.....

Still proud of the progress and team.

A true sophomore cost us 14 points. Probably our best offensive lineman. I hope he lerns from this game, that's all we can ask.

After re watching the end of the game, I blame the fumbled snap on Allen. The ball was there, but Allen came out to quickly. Ball security is a must late in the game.

I still think a lot of our problems at the end were due to no depth at the LB position. Ellis was toast in OT and made a bad decision. Granted, the play should have never happened because there was a blatant fals start on 84 for aTm. I still don't know how that wasn't called. That makes it 1st and 15 for aTm from the 30 and they change their play call.

All around, I don't think we played our best game. So this encourages me. Last season, we looked like a much different team in our last 3-4 games. If we see that same improvement this season, we just may get to that 7 win mark, or even 8.

I watched Ole Miss struggle last night. I firmly believe this team can beat Georgia, LSU, Missouri, and Ole Miss now. We still have UAB left as well.

The only game I just don't think we have the horses for yet, is Alabama. I don't think its a blowout though. Also, never again do I want to see an end around to Derby. May have been Chaneys worst call of the day.

We better blow them out because if there's a way to lose a game, we will find it.

I was sitting wtfing when I saw that

Still really pumped for this season though. I had Georgia penciled in as a loss but after Saturday I think we can beat them. Ole Miss too... Wallace is an interception machine.

We did an end around with Sprinkle last year. It was equally as awkward.

I think we still need more depth to finish strong in the 4th quarter of SEC games. A&M played better at the end of the 4th quarter and I think it was because they had better depth.

That's not the only reason we lost, obviously. But our mistakes were compounded by the fact that we couldn't beat A&M straight up in the 4th quarter, so they were able to capitalize on the opportunities we gave them.

We're obviously headed in the right direction and I can't wait to see what we can do when we have quality depth across the board.

Eh, I've got some questions why Kevin Richardson a walkon RS FR was playing late in the 4th when we were getting burned and let the game slip away.

At one point, I saw his name on the back of a jersey of someone in the middle of a play and was like "Richardson? Who the frick is Richardson?"

I think the biggest reason Ragnow came in was the first botched snap. The first fumbled snap was on Smothers, while the second late in the game was on Allen.

Right after the first, I told my wife that we're about to see Ragnow.

Am I crazy, or was that Mitchell Loewen playing defensive end for the first time all season in the 4th frickING QUARTER against the #6 team in the country?

Players make mistakes. They're amateurs. You hold them to a lower standard.

Coaches are professionals. They're paid to be better than they have been doing offensively. This team would be amazing IMO (based on expectations and utilizing talent) if we could just get better play calling.

And that wins us games, too. Cutting mistakes are great, but good play calling makes up for that. Exhibit A: Kevin Sumlin in the 4th quarter. Or did we forget Aggie made tons of mistakes and still found a way to win.

So you're saying this team with Nutt and Malzahn coaching would win 10 games?

While I love Skipper, I will readily admit that he gets away with holding. A lot. I went back and rewatched both the Tech and NIU game, and there were times when he was just dragging an opposing lineman to the turf or had two fistfuls of jersey on pass blocking situations.

Maybe it's because he's on the interior and they're not getting seen by the refs, but those better get cleaned up ASAP or they're going to break us on a crucial drive, just like it did on the Henry TD pass yesterday that would have arguably sealed the game.

I'm not blaming him for the loss (I hate blaming players), but there's some give and take when you have players with mean steaks.
