Hey....I think most all of us here had us pegged anywhere from 5 wins to 7 wins this season. Remember that.

90% of us changed our opinion on this game after aTm blew out SCar opening week.

Yes, it was a shitty way to lose a game. Yes, Chaney needs to check himself before Bert wrecks himself. Overall though, this team under Bert has made unimaginable strides in just over one season. This time last year, we were preparing our anus for a Florida, Alabama, and South Carolina butt raping.

It ain't happening this year fellas.

Losing sucks. I think we can all agree with that, but I also think we need to chill our expectations and remember what the goal is and where we actually are this year.

Alabama and UGA are coming to town. I really feel like we win one of those games.

I'm enjoying the ride guys/gals. Did I want to win? Damn straight, but it's been two fricking years since we've given any top 6 team a ballgame.

I just cheered my arse off, and I liked it......

Understandable before games. But when you're up 14 in the 4th, I expect a win. Period. Absolutely no reason to lose this game. None.

I told my husband that I was only looking for improvement. I'm trying to focus on that. Damn it hurts, but I have hope for GA.

We were up 14 in the fourth with no depth at LB and DB.

You can only ask a thin defense to shut down a spread offense as potent as aTm's for so long. I was actually surprised we did it as long as we did.

When a player is tired, he makes mental errors. That's what happened to our LBs and secondary.

Agreed.

I agree with Hawgeye in that we all thought we were going to lose this game initially, but that had nothing to do with the fact that we should have finished them off up 14.

We have a 7 win ceiling with Jim Chaney.

Look....we have to recruit our way out of that 4th quarter.

Spaighty and Ellis were toast by the fourth quarter and certainly in OT.

And the best rushing attack in the conference. Three straight passes out of the shotgun in the fourth quarter of a game that you already have a two touchdown lead in. Coaching was abysmal in the fourth quarter. I don't blame our defense at all. Even when the offense wasn't doing a damn thing, they came up huge with stops and turnovers. 90% of this loss is on Skip's mental lapses and Chaney's lack of a brain.

Ellis had a great game, last game, but he couldn't shed a block to save his life today.

That. It's not if we lose. It's HOW we lose.

This x infinity.

Yeah, we can recruit our way out of it, but I don't blame the defense one bit because they never should have been in that situation in the first place. Between Skipper's penalties taking points off the board and Chaney having the worst game I've seen by a Hog coach since Paul Petrino against ULM, almost none of the blame falls on the defense.

I'm damn impressed that they held the #1 offense in the country to 14 points well into the 4th quarter.

At no point leading up to this game did I think we would win. Even when we were doing well during the game did I think we would win. When we were up 14 with mere minutes left in the fourth, I allowed myself to hope, only to come crashing back to reality. Stupid mistakes and coaching herp derp lost this game, and that's not acceptable. It's one thing if A&M beats us, it's another thing entirely when we beat ourselves.

I'm proud of the effort and pleased to see improvement, but frick! I want an SEC win!

The hubby has been sent for ice cream...

No more excuses.

The players have proven they can compete in the SEC. The coaches haven't.

Seriously, save the last 5 minutes of that game, I was having an outstanding time!

And honestly, I thought Kenny Hill was going to absolutely SHRED our secondary. There's still hope.

Hey, just think, if Moses was our fricking coach, we'd still have to wait 38 more years before another SEC win!
