and taking his 'No punt' talents to Presbyterian College in South Carolina. Pretty sure they don't offer scholarships for football at Presbyterian.

Heard it's basically one of the worst jobs in CFB.
Speculation is he's getting out of HS and PA because the state leg is coming to gut private school football programs.

His youngest child just graduated from PA. The reason he's stayed there this long is largely due to the kids. He's had offers to go to programs like Highland Park anytime he wants.
Kids are through with school and I can assure you he wants to pick the lamest program he can find and go make them a winner.

You can't deny that he's a ballsy and fascinating guy. I've always wanted to see how he'd do at the college level. I can't tell if I'm surprised or not that this was the place he ended up at. If Chad Morris could swindle his way to Arkansas, I'd think a guy like Kelley could take his gimmick to a place like Western Kentucky or North Texas or something.

Has the government of Arkansas ever made sense? Hell, I'd be scared out of my mind if it suddenly starting making sense. That would mean either I had gone insane (or insaner) or that things had gotten so bad they actually have to act like grown adults.

AAA is pushing some changes that would have a negative effect on private schools. The way the AAA is set up, the voting will go the way of the public schools. Everything I've heard is that the new legislation will level the playing field between public and private as far as sports go.

I don't know exactly when he was hired as an assistant, but you are right, it doesn't seem too long ago. A season or two maybe?
