The state outline 100% needs to go away. Slobbering Hog still needs to come back to center court. Not sure why our AD can’t get it through their heads.

Apparently Long drove the removal of slobbering hog because he thought it looked “too cartoonish” on television.

I think history has pretty well proven out that if Jeff Long takes a stand on an issue, the opposite side is where you need to place your bets. He’s the George Costanza of ADs…

He was big on having a unified image/brand but also introduced the front facing hog that nobody likes

Especially considering everyone and their mother has their state outlined on the court now. It's just samey and lame.

The fact that we are now talking about this is a great sign that the team is doing better

I wouldn't say it's stupid, and as much as I think he's an outstanding player, I'd have to see a national title before I'd put him above Corliss.

Yes.

Joe Johnson, Bobby Portis, Corliss Williamson, Oliver Miller, Patrick Beverly and quite a few others that come to mind way before Williams. Great kid and I want to see him develop more of a post game - but not on the level of many of our pro hogs.

Someone needs to get him to pick stocks. We could make a fortune going against his predictions.

He was actually spot on, we should have put strippers on our court IMHO

I seriously hate that mother fricker. That cock sucker would have burned this place to the ground had he stayed much longer. fricking cock sucker.

I've been told that people who cuss are generally less stressed and are happier than those who edit themselves. I should be one stress free, happy mother fricker.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say I like the state outline. I do think the jerseys with the Hog on it need to go and slobbering hogs needs a triumphant return.

The court doesn’t bother me too bad. It could definitely be better. I haven’t noticed the annoying ad glare that we used to get so that’s a positive.

The jerseys with the logo are a big eyesore. I would just go with the throwback unis every game, those looks great. I’d like to see a road version too.

That said I’m willing to recognize that what appeals to a 30-something white guy from the sticks isn’t always going to be what appeals to recruits. So it it works I can live with it

ETA I don’t care for anything with the font that Nike gave us. Unis, court, etc. That’s another Jeff Long idea we could scrap

The desire to constantly change traditional jerseys that fans love is driven by the desire to sell more merchandise to fans. Nothing more. That screams not caring about fans….just about what’s in their pockets.

I respect Bama greatly for not bowing to such simplistic greed. Seems to be working for them.

Sadly…think about the teams that don’t play the game:

Bama, Penn State, Texas, Ohio State, Notre Dame…all high brand awareness. For a reason.
Leave the friggin jerseys alone!

The weird thing is that aside from the godawful Apex jerseys in the mid 1990s, we had never really messed with our general football uniform design until the 2000s when we started partnering with Nike and Adidas. At that point they seemed to change about every 2 to 3 years during the Nutt and Petrino eras.

Here’s hoping we stick to the classic DMac era look we’ve had the last few years in football.

His handling of the Snoop Dogg debacle at KU epitomized his incompetence. The guy had the stones to book Snoop Dogg and then try to play the “I wasn’t aware his performance wouldn’t be family friendly” excuse.
