Right? God forbid someone have a differing opinion than others. Out come the pitchforks and flames and them telling you how wrong you are.
I’ll hate to see what society looks like by 2030.

I don’t know that people necessarily disagree with some of his points but it’s the namecalling by a grown adult calling someone a “bag of tits” which isn’t dissimilar from the fat jokes people keep making about Pittman.
No one has ever said there’s anything wrong with criticizing the football decisions but people just throw shite out there that doesn’t have anything to do with anything. Instead of having a counter point they go to personal jabs.
It’s like everyone thinks this is Call of Duty where you can tell a kid to get wrecked bitch

From what I’ve read, that’s what it turned into from both sides.
Jakes point seems to be Pittman going the way of a politician…”Hey, don’t look over there, look over here at this.” Regarding, let’s not talk about the losses, let’s talk about our punter who is seeing a counselor.
From my view, Jake kind of pointed out that BS and called out the media as well for just rolling with it. It’s a smart play by Pitman because “mental illness” is sort of a feel sorry thing to speak about right now. Sam succeeded in taking the convo off of shitty coaching.

What’s wrong with what he said? Lately, hog fans have been conditioned to a loser mentality where they are happy with moral victories. Jake wasn’t part of a losing Arkansas program.

We are a pussy program. No doubt about it.
We may fit the baw culture (not the NWA commie move ins to the state) of the SEC, but we don't want to win at any cost, like the rest of the blue blood SEC schools.
We have soft tacos.

We also have the worst in state talent by far of any SEC state. Blaming athletic department culture is a cope to feel better about the ceiling over our football program.
ETA: Coaching still deserves to be criticized for losses to BYU and Liberty last year, but big time winning has serious limitations here

The far majority of power five programs recruit of state as those states don't have enough high
level players to fill up rosters.
So they need to go out of state to find better players.
States like Georgia, Florida, California and Texas have all the talent but are recruited by hundreds of division one schools.
It is why those states except Georgia haven't dominated college football.
Arkansas isn't located in the middle nowhere like Montana, surrounded by small states with little football talent
Arkansas is a southern state in the south surrounded by some of the best football players in the nation.
Surrounded by states such as Texas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Tennessee and Mississippi.
Our best TE is from Oklahoma.
Best CB is from Texas.
One of the best QBs in the SEC is from Mississippi.
It is a small state but that isn't some new revealing news that we just came to understand recently.
Arkansas historically has always recruited out of state just like many schools and have done just fine in the past.
Arkansas suffers not only from decades of poor coaching but a terrible reputation of a bad football program that the top recruits in the nation both ignore and wouldn't bother visiting if you begged them.

What's this "WE" shite? I've been preaching for years that we gotta play outside the lines if we really want to win. Integrity is a word loser use to soothe their hurt asses. College football has been and always will be dirty. I'm all about going old school SMU and doing whatever it takes to get talent on campus and coaches to lead them.
That means Sam has got to go. If TCU can play for a national championship, anyone can.

Arkansas doesn't have that type of culture.
Bama does because the average fan is a lunatic and the most extreme is a Harvey Updyke.
They shoot at each other when they lose. That doesn't happen in Arkansas because it is just a game. But if you say that in Alabama, you could end up dead
I know from experience and relatives who are hog fans that have lived in Alabama.
Football is a big deal in Arkansas but is it a religion in Alabama.

Roll back to 2012, the Petrino firing. Does anyone think Urban Meyer DIDN'T hire personal skanks to work in the athletic department? If you believe he didn't then you are simply naive. It absolutely happened and it was "handled" by the Florida program.
The state sports "journalists" took the opportunity to virtue signal about how wholesome the program is and wanted Petrino gone. That turned out magnificently. Do you want to be "wholesome" or do you want to win? Apparently, I'm in the minority.
Similar happening this week, sports "journalists" decided they wanted to virtue signal about social media to cover for Pittman, Jake called them out and the journos retaliated. That's why this thread was created, OP was told by our soft AF sports "journalists" that Jake was a meanie and the fanbase is eating it up.
I will take the opinion of a former player that played during the brief period the program was relevant over the opinions of our useless "sports journalists".

As an Alabama resident I can truly say that most if not all their fans DGAF about Arkansas football.
With the recent developments over the last few days we're truly a laughing stock at the local watering holes.

Have one in basketball. Pretty close to one in baseball he is just a broken head case after the foul ball.

Like Petrino or not, he changed the culture briefly in Fayetteville.
Once he was fired, they slowly went back to a inferiority complex.

I mean, he was being an a-hole to people. You can make valid points on Twitter without resorting to insults. But I’m not sure what that has to do with the football program as a whole.
I agree that coaches with drill sergeant personalities like Petrino and Saban normally get results but it also works the other way with coaches like Dabo and Bill Snyder. Will Muschamp was as intense as anyone and he sucked. There’s not a perfect formula either way.
Posted on 9/27/23 at 3:36 pm to gohogs141
Could be wrong but Pretty sure Bill Snyder was a huge hardass behind the scenes.
Dabo had a generational QB and a slush fund. He’s exposed now without sunshine and an advantage.
