It would be epic if HY resigned.

As in today.

Is there anything that would do a better job of exposing the dysfunction and ineptitude of Arkansas power brokers?

I would almost be up for it for the entertainment value alone. In a way it wouldn’t be far from the rationale that elected Donald Trump... people so sick of the self-serving money they support a polar opposite to watch the shocked establishment burn.

I hope a Harsin or better is on the near horizon for our program’s sake. But failing that?
Kill it with fire and keep the stadium empty.

If the hire was Nick Saban we would be looking at 2 years of getting our brains bashed in by the good teams we play. Since it isn’t Saban, that probably goes to 2-3 years before we see any success against anyone outside of fellow bottom feeders.

We have to get someone who is willing to stick it out, and unlike Morris, figures we have no business being a bottom feeder in the SEC. Then we are going to have to decide to ride it out with this guy, however ugly it gets. Yurachek’s fate almost certainly rides on this hire.

No. It wouldn't. Muss is here because of HY. Spoke very highly of him during the hiring process and I firmly believe that without someone that understands basketball like HY does, we lose Muss in a few years. If the football tards start dominoing their stupidity into other sports, I'll never forgive this administration.

I mean it's pretty much confirmed at this point that he fricked up. Don't need to see the hire to realize that.

This has officially topped the BCG-Altman fiasco. Now we just wait for the next pelphrey to be found by the search firm that was paid initially to do back ground checks but now has the responsibility to do HY's damn job.

Thank him for the opportunity and move on?

Said that it was very refreshing to have an AD that actually knew what was going on within the sport and liked the way he did things. Said it felt like working for an NBA GM which isn't something he's ever come across during his time in college and knew very early they'd have a good working relationship.

You guys are delusional if you think this coaching search is on HY and isn't on the same people who have been the constants in every shite hire we've made since Petrino. BoT bickers about a plan, pocketbooks with opposing ideals burn bridges with potential candidates, then they all use the AD as the scapegoat when it blows up in their face. This is now the 3rd time in a row how this will have played out under 3 different ADs, but sure, it's always the AD.

Long hired Bert.

The boosters you're bitching at fired long as an agreement was made with Gus who would have hand picked his ad in the deal. He turned down money to stay at Auburn. Morris was then hired by them.

HY chooses to fire Morris and had no plans in place after doing so. This is the result. He is now fighting the same Arkansas men who will hand over a blank check to hire other Arkansas men to rebuild the program. Not a smart move on his part.

HY has made comments about coaches contracts being too favorable to the coaches. I am starting to wonder if we’re losing out on targeted coaches because of the terms he’s offering.

If anything we’re going to have to pay above market value to get someone to come to this dumpster fire.

bullshite. Fans would have revolted against a year 3 Chad and he was always going to be fighting the "keep it in Arkansas" crowd on the board no matter what. Blaming HY for taking a position severely handicapped by boosters and having to deal with their shite is just dumb. It's not his fault there are man-children with a shite ton of money on the board that will kick and scream until they get their way.

You'll never convince me he just fired Morris then stood there with his thumb up his arse going, "Duhhh...now what?". You don't get hired in the first place if you're that stupid.

HY resigning would be about the worst case scenario, unless you're just somebody that wants to watch the world burn.

We'd wind up with Houston Nutt as AD, HC, or both. frick that.

Yeah HY knew what he was doing that is why Kiffen is at OM, Drink is at Mizzou, and Norvell is at FSU, because HY had a planned before he fired Chad.

We fired Morris 2 weeks before anyone even knew OM would come open. Plans and scenarios change and not all of them always end with getting the first option. Stop melting, Dale.

A better question to be asking yourself is why this job is so unattractive now that people are willing to take pay cuts to go to fricking Ole Miss instead. Sounds like a perception problem, not an AD problem.

Perhaps the ad telling your agent to go frick themselves during negotations isn't a good strategy.

Like 95% of this board wouldn't say the same shite to Sexton if given the chance.

Sexton represent s more coaches than anyone else in the country. Definitely an enemy you want to make as an ad.

If a coach wants this job, his agent isn't going to stop him. The way this played out showed me 2 things, HY has brass, and Kiffin was going to jump as soon as he got an opportunity from the get-go. I was never sold on Kiffin in the first place, but seeing how quickly he was able to switch sights for less money made it clear he wasn't as committed to this job and rebuild as he needed to be. He never would have stayed.

People are wallowing in misery like we just got left at the altar too much to realize that all we lost was a potential bride with a rapid recent gain in weight and an issue kicking a drug habit. Not good wifey material in the first place.
