Maybe but Arkansas is an eight point favorite.

I say Arkansas wins by 14.

I followed recruiting very diligently for many years and I can say without a doubt we are bringing in better guys. We have recruiters on the staff and we have a good working model in the BB staff in using the portal.

I have to say we are further along than I expected when Pitt was hired. He’s doing a fine job. We are just Arkansas and takes a crazy year to compete for a West Title. Could be this year…

Talent wasn't the problem with Bert and Chad.

Coaching was the problem as both had too many flaws.

You can have all the talent in the world but if you are an idiot then that talent will be wasted.

I followed recruiting as well and I haven't seen much difference over the years.

Now what I have seen was the steady decline of bad coaching.

With average coaching you can get 7-5/8-4 here.

Now with above average you can get 9-3/10-2 seasons.

For example that 2011 team should be 7-5 but coaching got them to 10-2.

Some better coaching last year would have won some if not all of those close losses.

LSU and A&M are the season to me. If we split those- we have a good year. Sweep- we win the west. Lose both- we lose all but 1 or 2.

You can still have a good season even if Arkansas did go 0-4, the rest of the games are easier but the margin of error is thin. I believe they beat the Aggies but lose the last three.

I just think Petrino finds a way to beat us, if he has to come down from the booth and throw the damn ball himself. He will pull out all the stops and have 5 star talent at his disposal to do it.

and that would be just like Petrino at his age...

Go all out to beat us... but lose to a few he shouldn't because of his hatred, and Jimbo...

Petrino has us circled without a doubt. I don't feel good about aTm at all this year.... new aggressive defense vs his offense is gonna hurt....

Maybe not but he almost beat us with Missouri State.

I don't get the sense Petrino has any bad feelings toward Arkansas. The people that fired him are Long gone

I believe he has ill feelings about everyone. That’s what makes him a good play caller.

And I also agree everyone that got him fired are long gone, his dick and hubris.

Meh, maybe not publicly in terms of his statements, but his piss was hot to beat us last year.

That team came into Fayetteville ginned up to beat us and threw the kitchen sink at us. It was obvious they’d been prepping hard and long for us.

Case in point - after that game they lost 5 of their last 8 to finish 5-6.

Petrino is a known a-hole. I highly doubt that tiger has (or could) changed his stripes.

Think that was him looking for the next step, just like every coach the year after he was fired.

That was their one game vs an FBS team. If he wanted to make a splash and have a chance at getting back into the big leagues as a HC, that was his chance

Hasz is legit, but I’ll be pleasantly surprised if we can prove we can get open against legitimate D1 talent.

I just made some Kool-Aide killer bombs...

So, No... It isn't time to stop drinking the kool-aide with something extra in it to numb the damn effects of sucking this bad.

The metaphor has worn out, and Sam has about worn out his welcome.

Glaring issues showed themselves in both of our first two games. You had to blind to miss it.
