He is but he’s not the savior. That’s KJ.

I'd have to see KJ first. Is the dude a strong and accurate passer? in know he has wheels....

Yeah starkel has a really quick release he makes reads ridiculously fast and has a strong arm and pretty damn accurate. If kj can throw like that and run he’ll be a heisman candidate. Everytime starkel lets go of the ball im expecting it to be caught. I haven’t thought that way since Tyler Wilson. (I can’t say Brandon Allen because he threw so many away )

I can’t answer this honestly because I didn’t have kids when we hired Petrino, my perspective of pretty much everything has changed since I did. I’ve mellowed.
This changed my perspective completely. When #2 moved in the house it really changed.
Today I went out with the family and just kept the game on in the background. Today was a good day. Didn’t cuss or throw anything. When they tied it up I just said oh well and went into Hobby Lobby.
Having kids killed my sex Life but did wonders for my bad temper.

I was melting hard but they scored 21 points in the 4th so I’m good until next week.

Glad we didn’t blow it.
Team deserves credit for not folding in the 4th.
Still have a shite ton to work on.

Except for all those times when the ball hits them in the damn hands or right in their frickin facemask and they don't come up with the grab.
That shite will get better though.

I've given Morris & Co. shite when deserved, but they merit credit as well for this. There was a lot of quit in that locker room when they came in.
Props to them for having the stones to go for it on 4th and 1, regardless of whether they got booed into it by the fans or not. Sucks that the conversion got erased by the false start, but at least we seem to learning from past missteps.

They were definitely going to punt. Starkel was motioning for the crowd to stop booing, and then looked like he went to work on Morris to go for it.
Starkel may or may not be the savior, but that was good leadership on his part. Sucks that the conversion got negated by a penalty, but at least in the end it was moot.
Like you, not sure if it's a good sign on the coaches or not, but oh well.

It may bite us in the arse in the future, but I love the fact that starkel just throws it up to a one on one receiver and gives him a chance to make a play. Our two freshman will be the best duo since Wright and Childs

I like it overall. If they develop that relationship where CCM trusts Stark more, and more and Stark can go to CCM with his thoughts.
Win/Win. I remember Mallet going to BP a few times, and BP spoke about it at LR .

Go back and watch the highlights on YouTube from warhammer. Starkel reads a defense so fast, and has such a quick delivery. It's kind of crazy to me actually that this dude lost out to mond. It was strictly because mond could run. He see's 1 on 1 coverage, and let's it fly. At 6'3.5, and 6'5, and well over 215 our WRs should win that almost everytime. I'd rather throw 100 of those, and get picked 10 times if we hit 70 of them.

quote:Completely agree. Starkel said something to the effect that they just go up and get the ball. I noticed the same during the game. When he throws one up in 1 on 1 coverage these dudes are attacking the ball instead of waiting for it to float into their hands. It's so good to see again.

Yeah I'm rewatching the game right now and just got to that part. Chad is clearly saying "We gotta punt, we gotta punt" into his headset.
