Petrino's team will still win eleven games. He was involved in close games against "inferior" competition. He won them. Bret Is involved in many unusual close games. We have lost most of them. We often fold in that situation. It's a tough spot because we recruit better than we did during the Petrino years, but I can't see a Bret team ever winning ten games.

No reason to really compare them though. I could get that if we actually had a choice in the removal of BP.

Yup. I was just attacking the revisionist history.

Disagree completely... and compare the schedules of Louisville/Us...

Nothing comparable at all...

You think we would have beaten Clemson or Florida State? He won ten games in a division inhabited by Nick Saban ( auto loss before the year even starts). That is not the argument to use.

Dale, do you need attention? You brought up the decided GSD and now CBMFP, why the melt, bro?

You can lose to those two and still win 10.

The SEC West is better now than in '10 and '11. Ole Miss went 0-16 in conference those two years and State was just getting started under Mullen. Both were easy outs for everyone unlike today. It's not really an even comparison between the two time frames they've been coaching so I'm not sure why anyone tries to do it.

No. Ole Miss sucked. No one else did. In fact '10 was the toughest the division has probably ever been.

There's no team in the West that is going 0-8 this year. I can understand your argument for '10 but definitely not '11. The West this year is much tougher than what we faced in '11.

Yep, had the Sugar Bowl won. We've had more than our share of finding ways not to win at the end of big games.

The muffed punt at our goal line by Reggie Flowers in our last SEC Championship game is one I'll never forget.

Some plays, you just never forget.

Dale never thought Herndon was that impressive and so wasn't sad when he took the Aubarn RB job.

Meanwhile, Bert already has 2 top 15 road wins here.
