It's not like he masterminded this. Cal and Tyson are buddies so I could have made this happen with the amount of money being offered.

If football is not fixed HY is gone.

Money isn’t everything. If HY was unpleasant to work with, we wouldn’t have got the coaches we have.

He also understands if football doesn’t produce fans won’t pay. Pittman won’t remain if the product doesn’t improve.

is how it should be but we’re firmly a basketball school now. Which i like I just wish we’d invest in football too. Why do we have to choose? Por que no Los dos?

Hy has been working on the Cal thing since USC opened. Cal checked the USC opening as well.

Then HY made the video just prior to it being public. He may not be as stupid as you believe. Covid hurt our cash reserves at the foundation, Muss pissed off a bunch of high level donors....

And we now have two NC caliber coaches at Arkansas in 2/3 of the big sports. DVH, and CAL... Chill folks, good grief!

The ROI isn’t there for football. 5 mill nil in Basketball buys a really good roster. Not so much in football.

what’s needed for football? I would guess 10 million gets a good Roster

Do the math... 7-9 paid well can handle a great BB roster...

22 + ST's, + 2nd team in football =? Yeah... Won't be the same.

I get that FB brings in the most money, but in this NIL environment, it also costs the most as well through coaches, players (nil), Players (food, board, clothing, etal), etc.

I have grown to understand that we will never be a top team in college football unless things just happen to go incorrectly weird, lol.

But in basketball and baseball we can, and should compete and win! JMHO!

What the hell work do you think these folks are doing together?

Cal will tell HY to frick himself if he doesn't get his bottled water served at the right temperature. As will any other big name coach. ADs are supplicants to coaches

Arkansas won't get better in football until they hire someone that knows what he is doing.

Until then it is a waste of money due to the program committing suicide multiple times.

Ohio State supposedly needed $13M for football just to maintain its roster full of 5*s.

A hell of a lot easier to raise $5-6M for hoops than $15M for football.

Yep, if you want to be a one sport wonder like Georgia and ohio state then that’s how to do it.

I like having 3 sports to fall back on.

Haha, yeah, but I still watch football no matter how bad it is, I’m just not as emotionally invested as I used to be.

No need with basketball and baseball being more important.

Yeah and they already have a brand. It’d take 20 million for us to complete for titles especially with Pittman.
