A friend whose brother covers another SEC team (not naming the team nor the writer) said Golesh was also looking at Auburn (not the writer's beat), which isn't good for us. If Auburn wants a coach that we want they're more likely to get him than we are because we are a dysfunctional program that is always reacting vs. innovating and doing whatever is necessary to win.
If that turns out to be the case, who else is out there aside from Wommack and Silverfield as realistic possibilities? I was interested in Eric Morris, but that's no longer an option.

Auburn has their own issues and have had twice as many coaches as Arkansas since covid.

If Hunter doesn't announce the next HC tomorrow he should be responsible for the extra amount paid on Sam's buyout ad there was zero reason to fire him when he did.
If he brings Odom, Lunney Jr, Wommack, or Silverfield before the BOT for approval he needs to be fired on the spot.

What about a newer big 12 member? They had to have a competent AD to get into that conference and compete in all sports.
Or Tulane seems to have a good well rounded athletic program across the board, go snag that person.
