A good defensive coordinator is not good because he can recruit

A good defensive coordinator is good because he can run a defense

Would we also like him to be a good recruiter? Sure.

Chavis was a sergeant in the Jerry Jones Dipshit Industrial Complex quagmire hire of Chaggot, so as to toss another losing roll of losing dice, the same things he's done for decades to ruin the Dallas Cowboys organization

we've still got fricking Arkansas "media" blaming "Julie Cromer Peoples" for that Chaggot hire, because they are not opposed to being pathological liars in exchange for a few...probably things we don't want to know about

My thoughts exactly. Could be better, could be worse. I’m hoping that by getting better players that our defense will inherently get better despite average coaching. Maybe Sam feels like that is the key, and maybe he’s right

he better start quick, because it seems like not only are we losing a lot to the portal, now we’re losing guys that have been committed for months

> Fans ask for coaching changes because of losses

> Coaching changes happens

> Players and recruits pursue other options once coaching change happens.

> Fans aren’t happy

He better bring in some talent QUICK or we are going to be in a lot more teams offensive record books.

Odom started to master that.

Saw this guy gave up 700 yards to Tulane.

Should fit right in here with our “scheme”.

If you don’t have elite Jimmy’s and Joe’s it don’t matter who the DC is going to be. Even if you do, it doesn’t necessarily limit yards per game. See Bama

Different DC will inherit the same problem.

Looks like he recruits his arse off. We need that for sure. Even if he is a tick worse than Odom in fielding a defense, we should have more and better horses to ride. I would think it would be fairly difficult to get worse results than Odom produced last year. I think Odom got the shite end of the stick with injuries and the offense dogging the defense out, but bring on the new blood!

After watching the PC I am optimistic. I like his energy, and he seems genuinely excited to be here. I actually liked hearing Sam say that his defense was so aggressive it scared him a little. Let's see if he can pull in some players and let's roll.
