The first day of practice for the Pittman era was today.

So they can prepare for UGA before going on back to back road games with no back to back home games on the schedule.

The SEC treats us soooo well.

They could at least give us Kentucky as a home/home opponent in basketball with how hard they frick us in football every year.

bye before AnM - they have bye as well
Both lsu and ole miss play Bama before us
Bama has the iron bowl before us
Playing Bama at home in December is going to be weird.

It’s not horrible. We have a shot in a couple games which I didn’t expect.

ehh...... I don't see much of anything after the past two seasons. 3 wins would be good. People need to consider the fact that 3 wins in this schedule would have probably been a bowl season with the noncons. With that being said - no bielemaish buyouts need to be added unless we go undefeated.

How excited would our fans be if we won just one??

And how sad is that to consider??

It is a perfect storm of crap for us.

We truly needed the OOC games to get better as a program overall, we need some momentum to garner better recruits. In stead we get a 10 game SEC only schedule, and our East opponents are GA and FL.... Not Vandy/KY...

And now I mention Covid....

Then Isiah Joe comes back... But doesnt.

My friends, welcome to hog fandom... Lordy Mercy!

I think a brutal schedule early is fine. We just went from the easiest schedules we'll ever have to the hardest schedule ever. It's the perfect time to bring out the bagman.

Little does everyone know we've been secretly rebuilding. We're just gonna show up and be awesome now. Get ready folks.

I honestly don't even care and wouldn't be upset if we only win 2 or 3, as long as we show improvement throughout the season and don't regress from one game to the next.

That was a hallmark of Chad's teams and Bert's weren't far behind, although his was more of a matter of inconsistency.

I'll be fairly happy if we don't get blown out by anyone other than the big 3 on the schedule, make the same stupid mistakes game after game, and have an offense that can move the ball fairly well. I don't think any of these are too much to look for, since we have a great OC and DC along with an experienced QB.

It's a LOOOOW bar for this season boys, buckle up! Improvement is gonna be a slow, tough road, but I think CSP will eventually build us up.

I want to believe the team is on the road to improvement.

But bluntly I don't, and won't until/unless they do something unmistakably positive. Not just a one or two game splash either. Too many years of Smiley, Chard, Betelguese (Bert was and over inflated giant just like the star), Saint Jeffrey, Stan, Failphrey, and even Mike underperforming. 2010 and 1995 were a loonnngggg time ago with far too many broken promises of improvement. Muss is the first one to truly show promise in these sports, and time will tell there.

I will continue to monitor, but I won't be changing plans for gameday. Downvote away, but I'm far from the only one with this POV. If you doubt that, then why is there so little activity on this message board?

I don't think you realize how bad we are supposed to be. We'll be underdogs in every game and probably double digit underdogs in all but 3 games. 3 wins would be a massive overachievement.

Three wins is doable. Five wins or more is what I call overachievement.

We last won an SEC game in October 2017, and there are no non-conference games this season.

One win would be a big improvement. One win and keeping multiple games close would be cause for celebration.

I don't believe in moral victories. One win breaks the streak and hopefully no fans run on the field like we did against LSU. 1-9 is still nothing to be overly excited as we might start another streak going into next year. 2-8 will put you in a better mood. 3-7 then you will start getting excited for the future.

pffft the way we've looked and played like shite the past 3 years, hell yeah i'll be happy if we show progress and keep it close with some good teams on top of a few wins.
