oh we get it and we're disgusted by it. At least fans should be.

Either way, the amount of derp shown by this team and this staff this season is astounding.

What's infuriating is all the "best defensive line I've ever seen" bull shite spouted by Bert, Smith and Co. in the preseason.

At least we didn't derp to the likes of Toledo and Texas Tech

Yeah I'll admit that I fell for it before the 2015 season but they showed nothing over that season or this past spring to lead me to believe that was even remotely true.

Robb Smith is gone after the season. Segrest needs to go to in my opinion.

I'm rather surprised by that fact. Rather, not that I'm surprised, because after watching the team get shredded in the run game, I'm more appalled. But this number puts it in perspective. Watching this defense reminds me of Petrino's first year, when they were giving up a similar number of yards per play. It's kind of frustrating when our run game can barely move the pile when they run, and when the defense is on the field, you just hope that they're going to call a pass play so they don't break for 15 yards.

our run defense sticks

the good news is, our secondary has worst star ratings than the front 7 and it's been lights out for the most part with 4 pick 6s.

i'm a very patient person. we'll get there. berts made some mistakes. he wll correct them and right the ship.

as much shite as we gave lsu all off season they are a good team with a bunch of first and 2nd rounders on their team. with probably the best DC in the country.

I said at the time that when everyone was talking about the players we returned on defense it reminded of the old Lou Holtz quote about how he was returning a lot of experience but it was bad experience.

Hence why I wasn't exactly optimistic about the prospects of returning all of the key players from one of the worst Hog defenses of the last decade.

We can't set edge. I've never seen anything like. Stay outside!

I played football through high school. With that said, I've never heard the term "set the edge." What exactly does "set the edge" mean?

I may be wrong but I am pretty sure it means not let runners get to the outside and be able to turn it up field.

Sticking to an outside technique and force the plays into the middle of the field where a lot more guys are to make tackles.

When the O-line sets the "edge" they push the defenders inside so the running backs have less guys to beat outside.

In simple terms, its beating your GD man. We absolutely suck at that on both sides of the ball right now. It's shocking how much time both our lines spend on their asses.

Just saw in 4 losses we've given up 1563 yards, 19 TDs and 8.7 YPC. All on the ground.

Holy shite.

and that's not ok. I don't know how anyone can justify that. That's not just a set back. That's falling off a damn cliff.

That's some historical stuff right there. And not the good kind.
