Anyone who mentions his name, in connection with the Arkansas coaching job, should be a castrated hog fan.... Daggum!

I still say Matt Campbell would be awesome. It’s amazing what he’s done at Iowa state and he was the guy that beat Bert at Toledo. The fact Iowa state had the fewest penalties in football last year was all I needed to hear to want him.

And he runs the play action on 3rd and 1 when no one expects it to ice the game. Play calling exceptional as well.

Drinky poo is never coming here unless we dump lotto winner money on him. Much like Gus Malzahn he will never forgive us for passing him over once.

That would definitely be the final nail in the coffin, even if he brings that schedule with him.

I came here looking for the merlins hype after winning by 7 after being a 30 point favorite and giving up 555 yards of offense to Idaho State

Probably. He’s turned down better offers than Arkansas.

Matt Campbell head coach at Iowa state. Idk who the schools are off the top of my head but I’ve heard he’s turned some decent size offers down

I would love to have Brennan Marion at this rate. Has Sacremento State at top 40 in recruiting and was the architect behind UNLV's Go-Go Offense.

Well, if you believe the Internet, pretty much everybody that's had an opening in the last handful of years. The Detroit Lions, USC, Notre Dame, Tennessee, etc.

IIRC he was one of the names on Hunter's list that turned him down last time.

I heard Sam talking about recruiting players and that their families have a lot to do with whether they want a kid or not. It seems the character of players has a big influence on whether they want a player or not no matter the talent level.

I’ve wondered if the university and city has some influence on the type of individual that’s brought in. For instance, if a kid of questionable character is brought in then there’s a good chance some of the riff raff they are involved with follow them into the community and cause issues.

It’s like that bama basketball player and his buddies that they swept under the rug. There’s a good chance we missed out on difference makers by not wanting to deal with these potential issues.

Maybe trying to run a clean program isn’t the best way to win games and these other programs with kids getting arrested all the time is the route to winning. Is it worth the risk?

I’ll hang up and listen…
