We rarely recruit elite LBs so having guys that have played a ton is massive. Hopefully we can use the portal to keep bringing those guys in.

I think Andrew Parker is going to be ready to step up into a starting role next year too. He’s getting better every week and learning from 3 really good ones in front of him. I hope bumper comes back for his super senior year next season

The nicest thing about the super senior rule with COVID is it gives guys like Parker another year to get bigger and stronger before they need to play.

Yep. The benefits of them actually playing this season is huge, but the spillover benefits of giving the young guys time to develop and a chance to learn from some studs will pay dividends for the next two seasons

I'm terrified of what this defense will look like next year without Morgan and Catalon. Everytime Grant goes out of a game, we turn into Swiss cheese.

2/3 of Texas' points last night were scored when he went out.

I was under the impression that Catalon was a true sophomore this year. Forgot he redshirted. Damn that sucks.

I could see him coming back for one more season if he really wants to go round 1. It would be tough but I’m holding out hope

Also might have been the fact that they switched QBs. Honestly thought they should have done it sooner. Thompson looked much better.

How many years have we begged to have a solid LB's, I've lost count

We have a great group with a nose for the football.

In Pitboss I trust.

The last TD, they needed help from the refs. They still didn't score.

The key is keeping Odom. We can reload through the portal but Barry’s earning some bigger opportunities.

Having actual leadership has been huge for us. Just look at this video and Grant Morgan screaming at the team at halftime "WE DIDN'T COME TO WIN THE FIRST DAMN HALF, WE CAME TO WHOOP THEIR ASSES FOR 4 QUARTERS!"

LINK

THAT is what leadership gets you in football.
