Emperical data showing Aggy's improvement year to year from 2022 to 2023 on offensive scoring efficiency.

The green means improvement and how many FBS rankings were changed (positively) year to year through 11 games in 2023. Red means rankings were worse than last year.

Left column is defensive SE, Middle column is Offensive SE, and right column is overall SE.

As you can see, Bobby improved Aggy's offensive scoring efficiency by 75 spots nationally.

And you can also see that Dan fricking Enos lowered Arkansas' Offensive SE by 21 spots nationally.

Also your can see that our "awesome" defensive staff only improved over Odom's final year by 2 slots. And I'd think after the Mizzou game it's probably worse than Barry in 2022.

This is going to be such a strange experiment. If he comes in and has success, he could quickly move on since he won’t actually be the head coach here. How will our fanbase react to that, if we get stuck with Sam and he goes elsewhere?

On the flip side, if he fails, it will be a tough pill to swallow since we all hold him on such a high pedestal as we saw today.

Perfect world, he has success, Sam retires, he takes over, we win the national championship the year after Saban retires.

No, we beat Saban in his final year to win the NC. BP retires his arse.

The reason Sam is holding on so tight to the reigns isn't just the $$$... He truly wants to leave being a success here. He doesn't mind sharing the credit.

This is his chance. He would retire with great success and leave the reigns to whomever we desire to hire. At least that's how I want to frame it.

I’m glad someone else sees it this way. I agree.

I’m tired of people disparaging him.

If that was truly the case, he would get rid of Kennedy and Fountain, but he keeps hanging onto them. When/If Kennedy's bitch arse is fired, then I'll start getting excited. Beyond that, Pittman is still a used car salesman with a MA loyalty to his assistants/best friends.

Would be interested to see where the defense was before Auburn and Mizzou.

Team was done after MSU.

Think they get more credit than they deserve for Florida. Florida sucks arse and should have won on the FG.

He isn’t leaving unless it’s to take a head coaching gig.

I said last year we should hire Bobby as OC and see if he still has it, Sam could teach him how to recruit, which was the only area he lacked.

If it works, he would probably take over here when the stop gap coach was put out to pasture. I don’t know, if that will happen, but who knows. Also if you are Sam put him through media training, so he doesn’t come across like the count he is.

Everyone knows it’s true. I would have that as a course for all athletes and coaches. Just drilling how and how not to answer questions.

Get rid of all the Ya knows, umms, nah means, and most importantly I don’t know.

Nothing makes my skin crawl as much as that Darren McFadden we got that wood. I know it’s emotions but also make them sound like they actually take classes at the colleges they say they go to.

In the defense of our defense, our offense gave up 5 turnovers in the Missouri game and the team had nothing to play for besides pride. Which is important… but let’s not pretend that Pittman was doing a good job motivating them.

Our defense got put into bad positions all year by our shitty offense and they did a great job given those circumstances. Odom’s defense benefited from having a much better offense whose main problem was shitty red zone efficiency.

More than what he brings to the table as an OC, though how can Petrino put out a worse product than we had on the field this year, it is his wealth of experience as a HC that we really need on the sidelines.

Pittman spent all but a few years of his career as a position coach. He doesn't have game management experience and frankly it shows. It cost us, dearly, in some games this year. Petrino has a surplus of experience in that regard and it should help a lot next season.
