Besides yet another bad NBA analogy from you

Why is it a bad analogy? Can you support your blanket statement? Are refs not human beings in college? Is human nature not at play? Do guys like Rick Carlisle not know what the frick they're doing?

quote:

you claim it to be black and white and put not thought into the situations of when the bad calls occurred in either half to go along with the the momentum for the opposition and the crowd's interaction with the game.

I don't even know how to respond to this bit of gibberish. Just pretend in your head that you "showed me" and "put me in my place." I'm not in a mood to argue with your unintelligible nonsense.

it's not the end of the world.

1. we aren't really fighting to get into the tourny. this loss sucks, but it doesn't really hurt. we're in.

2. we played really well

3. we have our lineup for the rest of the year

4. no one including myself expected us to win. we played better than i thought we would and qualls played like dogshit all game

we basically took one for the conference today. as of today we are a 2 team bid with us and UK, now UF is in the hunt again. on a nutural court we run florida off the floor

It seems that would depend on the officiating crew.

For the RPI wizards, a win today would have put our expected RPI at 35. A loss has our expected RPI at 35. Tough way to lose but it means nothing.

That's good to hear, I guess. Yeah, frick it. Silver lining! I want to see our guys come out PISSED on Tuesday and DESTROY USCe. Maybe that's another silver lining...seen it plenty of times where teams come back angry/more focused after getting screwed. Fingers fricking crossed (I fully expect us to win...I just think it'd be nice for the guys to get a blowout after this game).

I agree, and the only really tough road game we have keft is Kentucky.

We are still safely in the tournament at this point. People say we have to win the games we're supposed to. Well we weren't supposed to win today. RPIforecast gave us about a 30% chance to win.

Not to mention LSU losing at State. We needed to create some separation among the 2nd place teams in the league today. That happened even though we lost.

I don't care if we were supposed to win (we weren't) or lose.
I don't care if it hurts our RPI or not (it doesn't, evidently).

I'm just sick of incompetent SEC officiating, football as well as basketball.

Watching SEC network and I noticed they are showing FT stats when they are scrolling about our game

ETA: Can't recall seeing that before.

Hampton was an athlete at UK and graduated in 1991, any idea what Florida assistant he would have went to school with?

At least we should go 3-0 in our next three games with South Carolina, Mississippi State and Auburn coming up. Hardest part of our schedule over with IMO

USC beat Georgia,MSU beat LSU and auburn has Pearl.

I think this is still a rough stretch for this team..no pencil in wins.

No pencil in wins? We play Mississippi State at home on Saturday. You can go ahead and pencil that one in.

I am, we still have five weeks left in the season. A loss today wasn't going to kill us. We were playing with house money and got screwed. Oh well, luckily Florida has been improving their RPI the last few weeks.

We could be in Lsu's shoes right now. They have losses to the two worst teams in the league and they only have one good win in West Virginia. We needed to create separation with the other top teams in the SEC and Lsu did that for us today.

A win would have obviously been better, but the way we lost could be a turning point for the team. Now they feel like it's Arkansas against the world after getting hosed.

Or they could feel like its the world vs Arkansas and have a collapse with the shitfest of a SEC line up coming in the next two weeks.

I expected a win today.

We held them to 57 points and still lost. Our offense is just very poor still, little improvement.

Guard play wins in March, doesn't bode well for us right now.

RPI forecast gave us a 30% chance to win and we were 7 point underdogs.

Why did you expect a win?

Because we're a pretty good team that was rolling and Florida is a bad team.

RPIForecast gave us a 22% chance to win at UGA and we were dogs as well.

Holding a team to 57 points in their gym and losing should be a criminal offense. Especially when you avg 80 a game. Flat out embarrassing.
