I'll have to trust the coaches on this one.

We need help and if Franks can get the ball to our receivers and is mobile enough to run like our oppenent's qbs have done on us then we have a chance to be bowl eligible.

Also,it's a good career move for Franks. If he plays his cards right he can have a good job career here if the next level doesn't play out.

Read somewhere he may apply for a 6th year due to his injury happening early in the season this year

His biggest issue appears to be his maturity level. Maybe a change of scenery will allow him to grow up some.

Win, lose or draw it’ll be entertaining to watch. At the end of the day that’s all this is anyway.

Get the guy 2 good O linemen and the offense could be nasty.

I'm skeptical with these transfer qbs.

It didn't work out for Nutt at ole miss or mizzou last year, etc.

But he'll be better than what we have right now so it will give our OC something to work with.

We have some potential play makers on offense so we have something to work with.

If we can get some semblance of defense we may make a bowl.

It worked out well for LSU last year and OU every year.

At the 1:00 mark, he throws a pass from his own 35 that is caught in the other end zone. Holy shite. It wasn't a heave and prayer, either. Right on the mark.

Since 2016, Franks appeared in 27 games for Florida, starting 24. He threw for 4,593 yards, 38 touchdowns and 17 interceptions with the Gators. In two years under coach Dan Mullen, Franks passed for 3,155 yards with 29 touchdowns and nine interceptions while completing 61.5 percent of his passes.

I'm guessing that's an upgrade from the Ridiculous Six we had at qb the last two seasons.

He has the physical ability to be great. He was cut short this year so we don't know how he has progressed. The #'s were looking better to start, but he was still rough his last full year.

I'd bet my arse Briles makes him better than he would have been this year.

That run against A&M was impressive. I don’t want a run first QB but he can clearly get those extra yards when needed which is huge. Our red zone offfense may actually be serviceable again.

I watched. Fumbles, and passes batted at the line are the most concerning. Poor pocket awareness at times. Only seen him miss 1 wide open guy though. Forces passes due to big arm. He was inaccurate and missed some guys he could have hit. Also some plays WRs just didnt catch it. Looked like a normal younger QB. This is his last year, and we wants to get paid. If he puts in the work I see a guy with the talent to make this offense hum.

Also Florida's o line sucked like ours.

Holy shite that ball was MONEY. Only worked cause Tennesee was playing prevent to the field goal but that was a 65 yard, in-stride BOMB.

From what I can tell he makes some mental mistakes at times and sometimes tries to squeeze balls into windows that are a little too tight but he’s got a massive arm moves pretty well and is a load to bring down. Seems like every time he runs he’s falling forward for at least 2 or 3 which can be demoralizing for a d. If he cuts down the mental mistakes he could be really good. I see a lot of deep shots to burks and Knox in our future

Should be able to get it having only played 3 games.
