Somebody good at photoshop needs to change that from "Classic Yellow" to "Classic Vitello" on that bottle.

Well, I made the current one so I'm sure I can change that.

Seems to be a common theme of shitting the bed when expectations are high and overachieving when expectations are low from the DVH coaching tree.

Last year #1 overall seed, best team in the tourney, wins game 1 of the supers where 80% of teams then win the supers. Loses the next two straight. That is shitting the bed.

This year, no expectations, no national seed, no regional host, Omaha.

Compare Arkansas last year to tenner this year. It is the same expectations going into the tourney same results exiting the second weekend from the same coaching tree.

Arkansas was ranked second before the season began. By making it to Omaha, they were able to meet those expectations.

The overall number one seed hasn't won the CWS since Miami back in 99. That is 23 years of shitting the bed.

We didn’t just beat NC State in game 1, we destroyed them 21-2. Sadly if the game was a lot closer they may have burned more arms and we could have won game 3 but instead they pretty much said frick it in the fifth when we really started to run away with it.

HOWEVER, anyone who watched last season knew we were a decent/good team that was elevated to incredibly good/great purely through Kevin Kopps. You can build a basketball team around one REALLY good player and a solid supporting cast but baseball isn’t supposed to work like that and come tournament time it stopped working like that. I wouldn’t say we shite the bed because of that, instead we overachieved all season and it bit us after getting a bad draw in both the regionals and supers. 2019 and the foul ball was shitting the bed…not because we dropped the foul but because that one instant lost two games when it didn’t even have to lose one.

'19 could have been a lot better if DVH wouldnt have been so stubborn leaving Martin at SS and Martin also not trying to do his best Pedro Cerrano impression every at bat. It was so damn frustrating to waste away Campbell's arm.

I really hate how last year ended specifically because of Kopps. That kid played his heart out and nearly dragged us into the CWS.

It’s criminal that his last pitch he ever threw as a Razorback was a go ahead HR.

I believe that Tennessee still is the best team in the nation. You don't do that in the SEC and say they aren't. But Vitello has an ego the size of the moon and the players fed on that. By all means they should have beaten Notre Dame but Tennessee this season has never faced any true adversity until game three. Those players for Tennessee had too many egos, they played for themselves and not as a team. A wasted and I mean WASTED opportunity by Vitello

Arkansas was picked fourth in the west but they simply overachieved thanks to Kopps. That was more impressive because Arkansas unlike Tennessee didn't lose a single series in the regular season until the supers. People may say they choked in the supers but I believe Arkansas was coming down to earth as an average baseball team and NCST was better than average.

I did notice Kopps is getting drilled in Double A.

Idk if he's lost his feel or can't develop another pitcher but he's got a 5.30 ERA this year.

If it doesn't work out for him, I hope he comes back here and is hired in some capacity to work with our baseball program.

The world needs more people like Kevin Kopps.

From the stats I saw, he has a ton of walks. I imagine pro players have learned to lay off that slider out of the zone and he's struggling to adjust a bit.

Eh. He gave up a fat homerun, but it was only his third run of the game and way too much was being asked of him.

In all honesty, our vaunted offense that scored 21 runs the first game of the series only scoring two runs is specifically what did us in, not Kopps.

The shitty bats showed up just like they did in the 2019 CWS.

I wasn't blaming Kopps. I said I felt bad because Kopps put everything out there and almost overcame out lousy offense.
