Well goddamn man. This shite is obscene. We have a contingent of dickheads out there that think THEY are going to strong arm the Hogs into entering a deal that is detrimental to the team they claim to support.

I'm confused here, why is Gus/anyone a bad person for trying to get the best contract They can? Or addt'l coaching amenities or facitlities upgrades?
It sucks coaches can milk an AD dry, but I don't think they are bad for doing it.

I said it a long time ago. You don't enter a deal with someone who holds all the cards in a situation like this. He is looking to squeeze every dime out of Arkansas, or Auburn, that he can. He has no loyalty. He is a narcissist.
I get what you're saying, but how does this make him different from any other coach in the country? He just made it to his 2nd SEC championship, had a shot for the playoffs, and won 10 games again. Why wouldn't he get whatever he can out of this situation?

The company line was the timing was never right for him to come, so that bullshite is out the window. He was never offered the job here by Long, interviewed in 08 at the request of the same people who just had Long fired for not hiring him, among other things.
These are the same people who show up to he auburn/Arkansas games with a razorback shirt wearing an auburn hat. The same people who actively try to steer recruits to him away from Arkansas.
You don't understand it because you are not the only game in town in your state, you've never had a section of the fan base in a town that thinks a man is above the program, should be handed the program, and every wimper be met immediately to satisfy the man. When he goes 6-6/7-5 during the good years you will hear them talk about how much Arkansas has frug him down and how much better he is than Arkansas...
