Gus Malzahn postgame: “I’m happy here at Auburn... we have a very good foundation and I think the best is yet to come.”

(Question) So Arkansas shouldn’t be waiting for you?

“I’m the head coach at Auburn.”

(Q) And you will be next year?

“I want to be.”

Gus Malzahn says he’s the head coach at Auburn and wants to be next year too.

Well that's nice.

No more questions about Malzahn. No more "the timing was never right" etc.

I wanted to stay, auburn just didn't do what I needed to stay.

It's not my fault, you forced my decision.

St Gus never does wrong.

What did people really expect him to say there? Even if he’s coming to Arkansas, he wasn’t going to say it in a postgame presser.

Yeah. All of this. This is exactly why I say frick this dude in his neck. Just look at what he is doing here. He thinks these schools should kiss his arse. frick him.

I said it a long time ago. You don't enter a deal with someone who holds all the cards in a situation like this. He is looking to squeeze every dime out of Arkansas, or Auburn, that he can. He has no loyalty. He is a narcissist.

frick. Gus. Malzahn.

It's a win-win for us with the Gus scenario.

Either he comes "home" and we take a coach from a fellow SEC member -or-

He works Auburn for an extension and huge buyout which will most likely cause problems for Auburn down the line.

There is only one person who can tell you the answer to that and I doubt anybody’s sources can find out the answer. Now we wait and hopefully something starts coming out in the next few hours.

Hopefully an extension with a buyout that makes Jeff long go "damn, that's a stupid amount of money".
