Collins did have the extra gear as a freshman, which he promptly lost his sophomore year after Herb decided he should add 15 pounds in the offseason.

He lost a good portion of that weight, but yes his sophomore year he was totally slowed by his weight.

Thanks, I fully plan to continue criticizing an S&C coach who took 4 years to come to the realization that speed and conditioning matter in the SEC. Who knew?

I always thought he'd do well in the NFL simply because he has great field vision and jump cut ability. Speed is a great asset, but it's not the end all be all for NFL backs.
If he can limit the fumbling he can potentially hit somewhere else.

That was the most confusing storyline of the preseason. The beat writers were all over the place regarding the Jags QB situation.

Yeah there was a point like 1-2 weeks ago that I thought Henne was supposed to be the starter and now he's cut. Hopefully BA gets a shot sometime during the season.
