Yep. Wess probably does have the best sources among our media today. Biddy isn’t bad but when he doesn’t know he likes to write 2 page essays to say nothing.

We’d agrees with me, that they probably have a guy agreed in principle and he and his agent had signed a NDA to avoid any leaks until end of season.

I’ve heard nothing but good things for HY this search, he’s raised a lot of pledged money and has been working side by side with some well connected and smart guys.

Sure, I guess I’ve never said he’s coming for sure but I think I was ahead of the pack on his interest.

But I wouldn’t be shocked if a perfect storm is coming with us and Campbell. He needs more NIL assurances he can’t get with ISU, and I’m sure you guys have seen their AD is going to be working in a deficit very soon. He also knows he has no chance at ISU to get into some super conference if that indeed happens.

Wess Moore live stream cliffs from the discord
quote:

Wess Moore Cliffs:

- Finds it interesting that Thamel changed his list between Finebaum Friday and Hog game Saturday. Why did he drop Campbells, Steins, and Sumralls names? Could he have been told not to mention them again? Especially Campbell?

- Hunter has had several donor meetings and raised substantial money

- Because of the above ^ Wess doesn’t think it makes sense to rally the troops and raise money for a big hire only to land an up and coming G5 guy. He only thinks we hire one of Thamel’s Saturday 4 if we absolutely strike out on every one of the proven P4 targets

- He thinks Thamel’s list makes a ton of sense because they’re basically all Clint Dowdell clients. Almost every coach we’ve been linked to is a Dowdell client including Campbell

- Wess has very credible information that one of Thamel’s 4 was ready to take the job and Arkansas essentially told him “we’re not ready yet—we’re still interviewing”

- We can absolutely have 1 of those 4 but he has been put on hold because they’re still trying to get a bigger fish

- He also said he firmly believes the hire has already been made, MOU has been signed, and they are working out contract details. He would expect an announcement possibly after the game with PC on Monday

You’re welcome

IMO it’s Campbell, but if that falls through then it’ll be one of the Thamel 4

I wouldn’t be shocked if it’s none of them. Nothing is coming from Arkansas side of things. And just my 2 cents, I don’t think they let Yuracheck take the playoff chair if he’s still working on the search.

I think it’s gonna be like Campbell or Morris, but those two wildcards names, Dabo and Riley keep coming into the back of my mind like.. what if?

I'll be willing to ride out a Campbell hire, but I will admit one of his better Iowa State teams being in a dogfight with Arkansas State and losing to 3-8 Colorado spooked me on him a bit.

Not sure we can do a whole lot better, but this wouldn't come without its risks for sure. I could see it being a Nutt-esque tenure where we'd go lose to Kentucky but randomly beat LSU.

He will be fine but not great. Lots of 6-7 win seasons in our future. He was borderline on the hot seat not long ago.

I'll take that as Morris is still very much in play.

The hire was always going to be after Missouri. They’re not going to announce someone while Petrino is still coaching. We’re not that classless.

With a 9 game SEC schedule and our current recruiting, that 6-7 wins will be miracle seasons.

Not even joking. Your avg will be 4-5 wins. Below avg years will be 2-3 wins.

You need top 10-15 recruiting classes to even sniff 8 wins now.

They could have at least 8 wins this year even with this shitty defense if they could hold on to the ball, not throw the ball to the other team, and maybe hold a team to a field goal every now and then.

Dowdle represents:

Mike Elko
Marcus Freeman
Matt Campbell
Kenny Dillingham
Gerard Parker (Troy)
Eli Drinkwitz
Scott Satterfield
Alex Golesh
Barry Odom
Jamey Chadwell
Ricky Rahne
Major Applewhite
Jon Sumrall

The mystery P4 coach is there and wow what a shock.

Make sure you also egg it and leave toothpaste underneath the door handles of all of the vehicles.
