frick. Golesh it is I guess. He was my 1st choice as soon as Pittman was canned but that’s because I didn’t think Campbell was an option and didn’t know a lot about Morris’ offense but still shouldn’t be a terrible hire. I’m afraid we’re going to suffer from the same issue briles, leach, huepel suffer from occasionally which is when a dc knows how to handle the offense we’re dead in the water but still a better place than we’ve been the past 4 years. Hopefully he knows how to adapt to the changes of football. I’m afraid his innovative offense won’t be innovative for long in the SEC

Whoever we hire, the DC hire & the NIL situation are critical

Possibly more so than the HC

Give Petrino a top notch DC and NIL money and we would have been good to go too.
Now we might have to face Petrino's offense.

So after the news is starting to seep out It seems like the average fan is not happy with golesh. Just from the 5 or 6 guys I’ve talked to that are die hard Razorback fans but not as psychotic as we are not follow message boards daily

I’ve said it on here and sure others have two, the Walton’s surely can see that giving some money to help making a winning football environment would help elevate school enrollment which only benefits their business college. Also helps all businesses up there for those game weekends
Brotha, as I’ve mentioned in other threads - UA leadership shite on the heads of the Walton family a few years ago during the Chancellor search.

For all intents and purposes, the Walton family is done with the U of A. They will fulfill any obligations that had previously been set up, but that’s it.

let’s just hire Matt Campbell. He’s a better coach anyway!

It seems if you know ball or at least follow college football consistently Golesh is a good hire

Putting Morris on hold for Golesh seems weird to me. Starting to think he might have just flat out turned us down.

I agree. He’d be a solid hire. Campbell would still be better. Morris would’ve been a Solid hire as well but not as good as Campbell.

Severe letdown from my perspective. We have this conference top 30-35 affiliation coming along, and this is how we show we are serious?

Nahhh man, let's go ahead and beg the big 12 to take us now so we can become TCU's whipping hog.

He might do well, from a PR standpoint... this is a c- at best.

Wess said on his show today Morris was trying to slow play Ok St for us but OSU gave him a shite or get off the pot ultimatum and he said ok. Wess made it sound like Golesh was still our 1 there tho.

It would be nice to have one guaranteed win next year.

And that was the first choice but all he had to do was figure out how to win 2 games back to back somewhere. Build momentum. He couldn't get it done. It was setup for the taking, bye week play much better against Tennessee come back and get a terrible Auburn team at home followed by an even more terrible Mississippi State team at home then head into a bye week again. He just flat out didn't get it done, which meant then he needed to beat LSU or Texas on the road. Neither happened and thatb was a wrap on phase 2 of Bobby Petrino. How people don't see that he had an opportunity and couldn't capitalize is just beyond me. He was great when he had amazing NFL quality players from an absolutely stacked in state recruiting cycle but just hasn't been able to make it work this time. A young coach who is known to be great at offense with a fiery personality is what we need to get the fan base engaged. Then the wins if and when they come will open up the common man's checkbook.
