I’d like some updates on how things are going, who’s looking better than expected, injury updates etc.

Treylon is the GOAT. That’s all I’ve got so far.

I almost asked yesterday but honestly couldn't even bring myself to read an article or my hootens.

I have nothing to offer. Hope we are on an upswing cause I don't wanna be getting wrecked by Texas and ou year in and out.

Apparently Hornsby had a rough first day. Only 180 lbs and threw several interceptions. Of the freshmen the three wide receivers, AJ Green and Cameron Ball have gotten some hype. Bryce Stephens may have a shot at the PR job.

How does rocket sanders look? I’m hoping we have a solid power back to go with trelon this year. I’m also anxious to see what aj green looks like and if we have someone that can take the place of woods to take some of the pressure off burks

I watched a clip of practice and I'm encouraged by the size we've developed along the line of scrimmage. Especially on offensive line.

Definitely a small sample size here but in the clip I saw he looked terrible. Really awkward looking throw and it looked like he badly missed a receiver maybe 10 yards downfield.

Interesting to me that Pitt has been talking up JSJ some

He is probably our 2nd best option. Hornsby is a heck of an athlete but still needs a lot of work throwing. Hopefully all that weight KJ put on helps him hold up to some hits.

Trey is reporting that he saw Levi Draper working out with the TEs today.

I feel confident Briles will have KJ ready to go.

agreed. I really am not worried about the overall strategy of our offense or defense with briles and odom at the helm, but it saddens me a 4* transfer like Draper seems to be a bust, and it also doesn’t bode well for our tight end room either that we needed to flip him. I know Henry has made some pre season watch lists but that is entirely off his name at this point. That kid better show something this year because so far he’s just been riding his brothers coat tail

I haven’t followed things as closely lately, but didn’t he have injuries? He was was never going to be the blocker his brother was though. I’m optimistic on this season. Are we going to win the west? Hell no. We have some talent and some really good coordinators. Still thin on depth. Texas game will answer a lot of questions. I can’t wait for that game. If I’m wrong, Sept 11 will suck

I'm much more confident in KJ with the offense catered toward him now. The RBs also look much bigger. Dominique Johnson is a hoss. Rocket is big dude, too.

The Dline transfers also look like legit sec linemen. The O line, even the backups, also look much bigger.

Briles said in Hootens they went back and saw when they continuously threw the ball on 3rd and short and regretted not giving it to the RBs

We need to be a run first, own the line of scrimmage team to succeed. Shotgun 5 wide on 3rd and 2 will not get it done against this schedule unless our 260 lb QB is running called QB draws (which we also need to be doing)

With an O line guru like Pittman at the helm this makes the most sense. I do think KJ is a more natural fit at running this offense with his skill at reading the option.

I have full confidence in KJ, but we really need someone to develop behind him. In order to win games I think we’re gonna have to rely on KJ to run the ball and take some hits. Luckily he’s built like a Dodge Ram.

I don't think JSJ is a come off the bench and turn the game around type player but he might be a decent backup.

As others have said, I think we are in better position than folks assume with our first string players. The big concern, and its a big one, is depth. When players inevitably go down, and they will over the course of an SEC season, we could be in bad shape trying to plug the roster holes.

I do like the increased size of the O-Line. If we can muscle our way past a few more 3rd and 3 type downs every game I think the Hogs could be dangerous.

If he gets injured then we're basically stuck with 180lb. Hornsby.
