I prefer Norvell for several reasons, one is his offense is incredible.
THe schemes he used with lesser talent to take UCF to the brink on Saturday was awesome.
He can cruit too.. has that fire as well, I am a Norvell fan regardless of where he lands.
I didn't want Morris, I really still don't... but I will accept it without much fuss at this point.

He has history as a head coach. In that history he has not shown the ability (or desire) to recruit outside of Texas.
Arkansas is going to be, at best, fourth in line when recruiting most Texas athletes.

I don’t think there is anything wrong with him. He has shown more ability to build than Norvell has. Norvell had his built for him.
this. Morris took over the 2nd to worst cfb program in the country in '15 and got them back to bowl eligible this year with the 8th best offense in the country. Those situations are hard enough to recruit in, but even harder at a place like SMU.
I didnt like him at first until i read his bio and how tied in he is to Texas high schools, plus he has real OC experience at Clemson

So his whole Clemson offense was made up of Texas cruits?

I'd rather have Morris than Venables, but Norvell and Kiffin are ahead of them both on my personal list.
As far as the official UofA wishlist, it's looking like:
1. Morris
2. Norvell
3. Kiffin
4. Venables
...
...
997. Bielema returns pro bono
998. Cardboard cutout of Gus Malzahn
999. Tim frickin Horton

I probably do as well but threatening to go all Clay Travis if we hire Morris is ridiculous.
We could do a heck of a lot worse is my point.

So one can deduce from the AD hiring, Arkansas sources are being fed smoke. Chad Morris is obviously smoke much like Gragg was Friday.

Not that its true but some Twitter folks are saying Gragg's background had some stuff and a lot of the BOT didn't like the Frank Haith hire..
Who knows at this point.
I'd be more than happy for them to announce and be done with it so we can move forward.

Why did you cherry pick what I wrote?

Was he the head coach at Clemson?

It's funny how there's not a lot of smoke about Norvell. Maybe that is the hidden "tell" from the search so far. There was a shite ton about Gus and now a lot about Morris.

Let the speculation begin on who this guy likes to hire.
At least we've got some kind of stability in place.
Much prefer having an AD in there than letting the BOT/boosters run the show entirely.

I just wish they would name somebody so I can get on with my alcohol-induced melt.

That's why when Bo and every other Arky media outlet starts talking rumors about Morris I don't get too worked up. I'm trying to remember a time they were every right. If they start telling us it's Norvell or Kiffin I'll be pissed cause I know it means it's not happening
