I lived on the other side of the University from BBB, had a nice place just off Garland, and it was still a hassle.
That nice long street leading up to the University was irresistible to those yahoos. They'd roar up and down it all night and day long.
Ah well, for the best I don't live there anymore. One of these years I'd have probably snapped and started taking pot shots at them after getting woken up one too many times at three in the morning.

It can't be that bad.
It's fun to walk down Dickson one time during the whole thing to see the spectacle and to say you took part in it. It'll take you 15 minutes to see all the booths and trashy bikers, and then you're done for life. If you're not a biker, absolutely nothing about it will interest you. All the merch stands are basically the same three tents that have been cloned 50 times and sell the same shite. It's all just bandanas, patches, cuts, and various other leather items embroidered with trashy or tacky, tasteless things. They have all the overpriced fair food, but no fair around it to hold your interest.
No one who lives in Fayetteville actually likes this thing. It brings in more people than we can really house, and a lot of those people are loud and obnoxious. You've got 100K+ roaring bikes, and 100K+ middle aged men and women who never learned to hold their liquor or demonstrate common courtesy to other people.

They're trying to have a thing about it in Rogers too, been advertising "Bikes on the Bricks" all over the place.
It's good for the area financially but it does suck having to get around while it's going on. Planning on staying in all weekend lol

I love this thread and it should be bumped every year. It's a perfect way to be reminded who the whiny, titty babies are on this board.

Yeah, I'm whiny. Not quite whiny enough to feel the need to complain heavily and frequently about the quality of Tyson brand chicken, but I'm whiny.

You obviously don't know the difference between delivering life saving messages and loud noise/trashy women/poor vending choices

I know I can just not buy Tyson chicken or eat chicken at a restaurant and that's that. I can't exactly "not buy" BBB and wash my hands of it affecting my life.

You should stop trying to justify your whining with whatanoutisms

I admitted I was a whiny, titty-baby. It's your turn.

"Fear and Loathing" in Fayetteville.

Is it a requirement to be morbidly obese to own a motorcycle?
I think I have seen maybe 3 people on bikes with less than a 30 BMI.

I have never gone to this thing, but it sounds like something that is just not really that fun. I have not seen a bunch of bikes on 16 yet. I know the city I live in just started tearing up the main roads, so I bet that is why. I am surprised Lioneld has not figured a way to tax this thing out of existence. Maybe a motorcycle tax and double the meter charges?

Imagine if someone revved their Harley in your driveway. Now, imagine if that person did that every 3-5 minutes, a few nights in a row, until 2:00 am
If you live near the railroad in Fayetteville, you're used to loud noises in the middle of the night. The Arkansas-Missouri railroad passes through Fayetteville at 3ish PM and 3ish AM almost everyday without fail. I live literally 60 feet from the tracks; if a train can't wake me up I don't think a Harley can.
The only thing I don't like about BBB is how much exhaust there is on Dickson, how does anyone breath with that many engines running simultaneously.

This is sarcasm, right? I've heard it's boring as hell there. I turned down a job over there.

I'm skipping work tomorrow, and headed to Beaver Lake for the weekend. I'd rather get drunk in a sailboat than listen to 7 different cover versions of Dead or Alive.

They should have more festivals like BBB. It's good for the economy. Maybe a huge hot rod rally will be next.

Those assholes were being loud as shite driving through campus while I was studying. I'm sure it'll be worse today.
