Not disputing anything else you said, but this is untrue. He was doing great in the Big 10 and came here for more of a challenge. It didn't work.

Well, he did compare his record to Saban's in the Big10 and then said he came here to beat Saban.

He did say he underestimated the SEC when he came into the league. That’s not saying he thought it to be a step down, but he took it far too lightly, which may have played into going 0-8 in 2013 in addition to the other variables.

He never really adapted to the speed of the SEC. Not just the players, they are faster here then the B10 but not that much faster.

No, I don't think Bielema ever adapted to the speed of the coaching. Early on, before the wheels came off, he did fairly well against coaches who sat back and carefully plotted things out. HUNH and simply using increased pace was like voodoo sorcery to him. Just like it was to SEC coaches before it became increasingly commonplace

He refused to adapt and as more and more people went hurry up he was still dead set on playing proper, slow paced, Big 10 football where the other team gives you 25 seconds or so to make substitutions and come up with the best play on defense.

Bielema not only refused to adapt to that change he refused to realize he needed to adapt his training to it either. Strength and size mean very little when your players are gasping for air in the second quarter.

There were other mistakes of course, the man never missed an opportunity to miss an opportunity while he was here, all of which, I think, add up to Bielema never really got the culture of football in the South, and he never really got the culture of football at Arkansas.

Along with all the BS he spewed in pressers and the twatterz.

That was another way he didn't get the culture of football in Arkansas and South... which is baffling because its one point that the Big 10 shares with us. Tradition.

Whether it be Little Rock games, or trying to introduce new catchphrases to a school that already has just about as rich a football history as anyone... I don't think he ever made an effort to understand the state.

I mean for God's sake, Frank Broyles passes away and they don't even bring back the throwback jerseys for the first game in his honor.

Bielema never got it.

He thought Arkansas had no history, he saw us as equals with Ms. State.

He knows now.

A little off the topic but i found this funny. Bielema wanted “uncommon” men at Arkansas. Silly me thought this was something new for him. I thought he created this at Arkansas for us. One of my customers had a Wisconsin cup in his office one day. I?t had Bielema on one said and the other side said “uncommon.”

In his opening presser he said it was what he called it at Wisconsin and was bringing it here.

Also, I had forgotten all about the "throw the A" nonsense, he seemed to have stopped it a while ago, but sure enough the CBS camera found the guy sitting in his section all alone and what does he do? Throw the A.
