From listening to Biddy on DTS, I haven't been all that impressed with the information he brings to the table. "You'd have to ask Danny (West) about that, I don't keep up with much of that..."
Maybe he does have some good info and would rather sell it than share any of it

I think what we learned from HY's handling of the Musselman hire is that the local media doesn't know shite and take everything they say with a grain of salt until you hear it from a national reporter.

I can't remember how all that went down. I do remember Muss's name being out there though.

He was my favorite most of the way if we couldn't have Beard.

If I remember correctly, the Muss to Arkansas information started from a national writer on Twitter and then our local media spent two weeks telling us how it wasn't going to be him. Until it was.

After listening to Biddys podcast today I’m all aboard the Lane Train.

What I took from it.

1. Lane wants this job bad
2. Lane has Sam Pittmans best friend in staff. (Lance Thompson) who is one of Sabans early disciples at Bama and a good recruiter.
3. Sam Pittman is not happy at UGA and doesn’t get along with their OC and might entertain a return as OL coach.

The only OC that Pittman gets along with that I'm aware of, is one Jim Chaney.

If it means bringing back Chaney it’s a no from me dawg. Our top three should be Campbell rhule and leach followed by Bill Clark. I’m sorry but I’d really not take a chance on a guy who couldn’t even win in the pac 12 with one of the biggest powerhouses in college football history idgaf what sanctions he had hell he won more early on at sc than he did at the end

You do realize, that's generally how sanctions work?

Chaney was not part of the conversation. I don’t see Joey Freshwater bringing in that lard.

If Lane would take over the OC duties and hire an up and comer to work with him, bring in pittman…, Keep Caldwell, Trailor, and move from there.

Also, Biddy got his basketball coaches mixed up with football on the podcast.

Sometimes I think they give these guys fake leads so that it won’t draw too much attention to the real candidate.

You better believe they do. These are multi-million dollar deals that can fall through at the last minute if you aren't careful. If I were Yurachek I would absolutely spread misinformation during coaching searches. Hell, I would do it just for fun.

Lane's binder containing the coach staff had some good names, none of which are currently at Arkansas.

If he's to keep a member of the current staff it would probably from pressure to keep Lunney.

He’s hiding his “inside” information behind a pay wall.

I grew up with a couple of kids that grew up and run in some bigger circles. Eventually, information will leak out of BAC at least a little to some people (probably not my friends) and will trickle down getting modified slightly as it goes from donor to donor.

As long as you read into it what’s actually substantive, then you can glean a little intell. Otherwise, you’re tracking flights like Norseberry.

Lunney stepp and traylor could all stay in staff and it would be fine with me.

While I wouldn't mind keeping him, I wonder if he's hoping to turn this situation into an HC job somewhere else.

He was on the fast track when he was an OC then left that behind to come back and coach with his dad in HS.

At this point in his life/career working in college while close to his family must be ideal to him.
