Just crazy to me they struck out with the portal the way they did when it came to pitching.
After getting guys like Hunter Hollan, Mason Molina, Root, Jimenez, and even Biedelschies the last few years, all they got this year was McElvain and a bunch of midweek relief arms.

Ummmm..
Why hasn't DeCremer pitched more this year?
His off speed pitch snaps off like crazy. Was fooling their hitters.
His fastball had some drop and movement along with velocity.
All the other guys we have in the bullpen throw up meatball floaters with no sharp spin.

He’s been awful the few times he’s been used

Looking at the stats I see he had a couple bad outings. Oddly enough they were against lesser opponents.
Maybe he just didn't have the command those games.
But what I just saw, with his pitching, was far more electric than anyone else in the pen.
He had that curve ball that just drops off the face of the earth. And that fastball was top notch too.

He doesn’t miss bats. Maybe he’ll start soon.

No idea why he went Brissey instead of McGuire first either. Probably cost us the game
Brissey, McGuire, Eaves, Fischer none are SEC caliber arms.
10 runs will win most ballgames, fricking pathetic.
Again we get fed a shite sandwich by a veteran coaching staff.

Up to #12 in the D1 poll. OU dropped out.
Back into the Top 10 on BA.

Eaves has been very good in SEC games. What are you talking about?

Is it just me, or can Helfrick not throw out people that are stealing?
He's not accurate, and majority of the time the throw is late.

Get ready to travel to a regional.

I just don't understand our hitting.
There first two pitchers weren't throwing anything special, and we couldn't put the ball in play.

They’re starting pitcher had an ERA of six. Their best pitcher isn’t even pitching until the third game, which is Saturday.

Not being Debbie Downer, but I legitimately don’t see this team getting out of a regional.
We don’t have the pitching whatsoever, our bats are way too inconsistent (and mostly miss than hit), and we still make too many mistakes in the field (2 more errors last night, one was ultimately the difference in the game).
And while traveling to a regional isn’t the worst thing, the seeding screws up our pitching approach because you almost have to throw Dietz in the 2-3 game.

I agree. Just didn’t come together this year.

The team just isn't very good. There are pieces, but on the whole it's not a good team.

Great win. Gaeckle looked good.

McElvain was great, too. Came in for the 9 out save, struck out 7, and even overcame some dipshittery in the field (looking at you, Robinett).
Another 3 errors last night. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again- this is the worst defense we’ve ever had in the DVH era.

Did you forget 2013? Nearly a third of the runs allowed were unearned.

9 runs to open the game without an out, not bad Hogs. Few more of those and may just hang on.
