Proud of the way Wicklander pitched last night. Shows that he wasn't going to let the previous nights performance affect him.

Unfortunate ending to the game, but its part of the growing process.

I was impressed that Wicklander bounced back as well as he did. Its early in the season but we seem to have a resilient team.

Arkansas went all the way out to California and took a road series win. I will cheerfully take that. A sweep would have been great of course, but I can't be too disappointed with our results.

OP Updated

Need less McFarland which disappoints me. Had hoped to have him at 1B as a taller target.
Franklin having a good early season for a Frosh.
I hate Fletchers swing, but when he runs into one it goes.
Last night sucked, but to go out west and take 2/3 is a good early season win.
Wicklander looked way better than his previous outing on Thursday.

Great series.

It appears JMac was a recruiting mistake, you have a few on occasion.

We still are searching for a solid DH. Goodheart hit the ball well in the spring, not sure what's up with him now.

I fear that Marty won't be able to handle SS during SEC play.

Ezell, Franklin and Nesbitt seem to be Dudes.

Hesston, Fletcher are just tryin to hard at the plate.

Back at Baum on Wednesday to beat the Tigers..

If Trey Harris can get healthy maybe we see him at some point as DH.

The Little Rock Christian product was the first player off the bench in the Wichita State scrimmage and even started the UALR scrimmage in the fall.

quote:

Unfortunately, two separate injuries have kept him out of virtually all three weeks of preseason practices and scrimmages. “He ran into the fence the very first practice and it was scary because he tripped right before he got to the fence and he hit the fence head on,” Van Horn said. “That hurt his back and his neck and he missed a week and a half on that. “First day back out at practice, he slides into second base and hurts his knee. I don’t even know if he’s had maybe one at bat. I don’t know if he’s had any in a scrimmage.”

We've had as good of a start to the season as anyone in the conference imo. For as much offseason hype as they got LSU has really failed to impress me.

Yeah I hate losing any game and don’t think USC is very good but you look at who some of the other SEC teams have lost to already and realize it happens to everyone. We’ve started out this year better than we did last year. Just frustrating feeling like we beat ourselves with the whole pop fly thing.

I’ll be curious to see who starts the Memphis game.

DVH usually experiments early in the season, like other good coaches. He could have brought in an experienced closer to win,but he has to use these games to find out what he has.

I like this team, and they will only get better.

I'm willing to see us take chances early and develop depth.

Using a closer three days in a row isn’t wise, it’s a long season.

Wednesday could be more of finding out what we have and who can perform at this level.

Wicklander starting tomorrow. I wouldn't think he goes very long though.
