That's freaking hardcore. With the OL we still have, if Chad got us to 6-6 then he should be SEC coach of the year. Realistically, 3-5 wins is probably our ceiling for this season. We can overwhelm some of our OOC opponenets, but I expect us to still struggle at OL and defensively. Skill guys should have fun this season.
Maybe next season we get back to 6 or 7 wins, but I just don't see it yet for this season.

This is one of our easiest schedules in a while. Not making a bowl game would be somewhat of a red flag for me.

Am I the only one thinking this team actually being in shape, and not a bunch of fat sacks of shite will make us universally better?

We've seen what happens to guys in the NFL after they got out of the Grand Slam nutrition program, so to think we may be in for a surprise year isn't out of the question.

I think so. I may be making this up, but it seemed like every player that made it to the combine under Bret had mediocre at best performances. Maybe we can conjure up a little team speed finally.

Look at the schedule. We should absolutely make a bowl game. We have an FCS and 3 G5 opponents OOC. We have Vanderbilt at home. Assuming we won't beat any of the big 3 in our division, we just need to steal one from A&M, Ole Miss, Miss State, or Missouri. Like someone else said, a Bert type first season would be a big red flag for me.

Weight loss/gain
Every WR dropped or stayed the same except Pettway who gained.
Patton the only TE to gain and Gragg lost 23.
Some big drops on the OL starting with Wagner.
On the DL Guidry put on 25 so he’s playing NG?
Linebackers not much movement but Morgan put on 10.

We struggled mightily in Petrino's first year. I hope they blow my expectations out of the water, but at this point, I don't expect us to go bowling.

agreed, already planning on either the Texas or Liberty for years 1/2 and getting ready for an upper echelon bowl for year 3/4 hopefully the Cotton
We definitely have major fan support for these three, and the cotton is a playoff bowl 1/3 years, top 12 ranking the rest.. WPS!

State going 4-1 with Mullen vs Bielema is a large part of what did him in but going to State next year in which they have one of their most talented teams with veterans might be a bit much for year 1.

Backup to Agim at strongside DE? No way he’s rushing the passer at weak side unless he played at 250 last year
