i just cant. He made a bad decision and it will show in the next couple of years. Dude will wish he had chosen different.
But in all of this, cant really blame him as far as programs go in CURRENT shape. But Chard on the other hand is terrible. Cant stand him in any form any longer

I just don’t think Morris will be that bad there personally. He was good at Clemson when he was only the OC and he threw to the TE a ton. Craddock threw to O’Grady a ton here. If, and it’s a big if, Malzahn actually lets Morris run his offense then they will throw to the TE a lot. It’s really not that big of a stretch assuming Malzahn doesn’t meddle.

Gus is running that show. Also nikki is reporting hornsby has cancelled his Baylor visit. Wrap it up. We just signed our 3rd highest rated QB since mustain.

Part of me thinks it'll come down to offensive line play for chard to be considered a success at Auburn.
But on the other hand, our line play was decent to good at times and we still sucked.

When? Every game I watched they got dominated on both lines by better and inferior opponents.

I think chad has some interesting ideas on offense and with Gus to run the overall show and check his hairbrain ideas like wanting 275 pound lineman he could actually be a decent coordinator.

it may happen as you wrote. But, if there is any justice whatsoever after what Chard did to our program, they will both be absolutely miserable soon.

I know that Clemson was able to operate at a decent level under chad when they had a good qb with tajh Boyd. As long as he has the recruits that auburn gets I think he’ll do okay as a signal caller. I don’t think chads problem is understanding football I think it was a major leadership problem. I think he didn’t understand how to connect at all to these kids. He won’t be required to really do that at auburn.

see thats the thing. clemson was ok under chad. they definitely improved with him. they didnt take off and blow the doors off anyone regularly till he left though.
i think hes a good recruiter decent schemer, mediocre game manager, and horrid head coach. auburn probably ends up looking ok as long as he doesnt decide to start a revolving door at qb there

Never hire a friend that you would hate to have to fire.
Gus hired a buddy in Chad, will be hard for him to fire him when he should.

I just remember not allowing many sacks and Boyd doing well.
Also I recall thread(s?) calling for our oline coach to get an extension and all the money. Believe at least one was made by hawgeye?

I think everyone agrees fry was better than anderson.
the question of why either can stay employeed is a bit mysterious to me though

My point being our oline was serviceable and arguably good at times. We had good talent at skill positions, yet our offense still sucked.
But aubies believe what he did with our offense was a fluke. Guess we'll see

Sounds like Horace is our only decent option at TE unless we pursue a grad transfer. Crazy how thin we are there right now after years of being loaded with great TEs.

I get your point, but what exactly have our TE's accomplished the past few years? As out team has sucked hind tit.
One gets busted at Belks, Another cant keep his head straight (Yeah, Chards fault...whatever) The last one who really left a decent mark overall is in the NFL.
or so my stupidity leads me to believe.

No your 100% correct. Sprinkle and o Grady both had great talent but we never saw much from them
