Dunning averaged 21.5 points and 11.3 rebounds per game as a junior for the Yellow Jackets. He also recorded 3.1 assists, 2.1 steals and 1.8 blocks per game.

He was a first-team Class 6A All-State selection by the Alabama Sports Writers Association and was one of five statewide players selected to the Super All-State Team. Murphy said, as good as Dunning has been in his high school career so far, he is no where near the level he can and eventually will be.

“He could be a two-year and done kid and go on to play pro,” he said. “It just depends on how he develops. If he develops with the curve we’ve seen, I think that’s a very likely scenario. He has all the measurables, all the tools. As he continues to refine his skills, the sky is the limit. His ceiling is so high, and he’s not anywhere close to meeting it yet.”

Murphy said Dunning would play the small forward position in college.

Several schools, including Florida, entered the race late this summer. Murphy said Dunning has had an excellent summer playing with his AAU team and the McGill team.

in light of Kofi Cockburn, from Illinois withdrawing from the draft and entering the portal, does Arkansas still have a spot available to pursue him?

100%, Cockburn isn't a great style fit but he is basically at that level where it would be hard for any school to tell him no

Is this possibly happening? Hearing its us, Illinois, Texas Tech and Oklahoma.

Would be wild if we pulled him.

Sounds like we are still on the outside of it. Seems like a Tech lean.

In this instance it appears to be about staying in Texas (from Houston) and being more of a focal point than the other schools.

In general I'm not sure what Tech is doing to have as much success as they have had after Beard left.

Who knows if it's true, but Muss' tendency in landing xfers has seemed to be a very late push for Arkansas, then the deal is sealed. He and the staff must be absoluely relentless when they have someone close who they really want. That, or he has one hell of a bagman.

They claim to have the best college basketball facility in the country now that they apparently just built. And they do get around 15,000 for games which is pretty good. I had no idea who their coach was when they announced him but keeping it in the Beard coaching tree was probably a smart idea.

Still though not sure if it’s worth living in Lubbock for. Maybe Obanor needs to talk to Dusty Hannahs.

They're hiring replacement for Beard is super meh. Assistant after making the title game?

Maybe he'll be great but figured they'd have splashed bigger considering how much they were paying Beard.
