It wasn't just a size issue but an issue against bigs that were athletic. Arkansas didn't face that problem until Duke.

Exactly. We don't just need size, but also good ones. All those players for Duke, and I assume UNC as well, were 4-5* players out of high school. Gonzaga had some good ones too, but they were a little too slow.

Brazile fits the definition here. I'm not sure about the Mitchell Brothers, yet, but they seem a little slow in the highlights I've watched.

Seems like Muss would rather have atheltic defenders who can play a little offense over pure shooters.

Guys like KK and Jaxson were likely the best shooters on the team last year and they never saw the floor b/c they couldn't play much defense and Muss didn't trust them.

Whereas, a guy like Devo gets regular minutes primarily because of his defensive abilities.

I have to believe he thinks Brazille is going to be a borderline star with Jaylin down low and the twins will come in mainly to spell those two and eat up rebounds and block shots and lean on opposing big men.

I wish we could get a guy like Shannon, but with Walsh having such potential, would that kind of player even be interested?

BTW, Curtis on 247 just said about an hour ago that he doesnt think Arkanss is done in the portal. He said they may even take 2 more guys.

do not believe Arkansas is done. Unless something changes (which happened earlier today lol), I expect another addition pretty soon with a second possible at some point.

If Muss were even close to done he wouldn’t have added the Mitchell twins. I bet we still have 2 more.

With the entire roster turnover thing from the portal it has basketball recruiting a lot more interesting.

If it makes you feel better Makhi Mitchell was a high 4* on 247 out of high school.

Muss has turned over 9 of 13 roster players from an Elite 8 team already, with the potential of 11... Unbelievable

I am not sure how I feel about it. I’d love to build through recruiting and add 1-2 high quality transfers a year or something. I don’t like this turnover every year

Duke’s entire team had size and athleticism. It wasn’t just one or two guys. That was an impressive lineup.

I wouldn’t spend too much time worried about matching up with a team like that. There’s nobody in the transfer portal that’s going to lock Banchero down.

I'm far from a scout, but the dude's film looks pretty damn good to me. Of course, that's to be expected with a highlight tape I suppose.

I like to get used to “our guys” too but we’re gonna have to get over it. Muss was building teams off transfers before it was the cool thing to do. He’s a kid in a candy store with the immediate eligibility rule. We’ll be adding 7-8 guys next year too I’m guessing.

On a team that could only find 6 serviceable players. Look at the minutes. Most nights it was the starting 5 and Devo.

Lykes or Kamani may come in and spell somebody for a few minutes but it’s pretty obvious the others weren’t putting in the work to get big minutes.

If you play for muss you work your rear off and contribute or he will find somebody else that can.

I’ve got no problem with it. You can see what muss is building and it’s much like the Baylor team that beat us in the elite 8. Long players who will work their butts off on the defensive side of the ball.

This group has potential to go 8-9 deep and hopefully has some decent scorers. I’ve watched both Mitchell bro tapes and it gives me some hope we will be better around the rim next year unlike we were this year with JWill, and Kamani and Vanover who rarely if ever saw the floor.

Muss had good success with another set of big twins who are now playing in the NBA.

The old days Of building teams by keeping guys for their 4 years is over. We are in the Wild West of free agency now.

I don't think Muss trusted anyone other than the starting 5 and Devo, so that give some hope.

I also heard today that Brazile may be around 6'10 now. If that true, that kind of changes things alot compared to being 6'7".

Arkansas will have to be one of the biggest teams in the nation next year.

Brazile has been 6'9" for awhile and is listed as such basically everywhere. 7'1" wing span too.

For perspective on how insane Jordan Walsh is he's 6'7" with a 7'3" wing span.

A few connected folks think we already have someone committed and might get that news tomorrow. From what I can tell it seems like the arizona st guy but I don't really get adding more bigs unless you know Jaylin is not coming back.

Also little known fact, Caleb and Cody Martins brother is a grad assistant for Muss. I’m sure he had them call up the Mitchell boys to lock them down.

Only because it means that I may not have seen enough video. And he does look better in the video HogX linked than others I've watched.

Either way, we have two more bigs that can fill lanes, and 10 more fouls between them, so I'm still happy.

Crazy they were only at Maryland for one semester.

Ware needs to talk to them.

Lots of smoke that the Arizona State big, Jalen Graham, is going to commit tomorrow.

If that is indeed the case, that ain't a good sign at all about JWill. Hope I'm wrong, but the buzz seems to be pretty thick on this.

Graham is a good player, but I don't Know...his FT% scares the hack-a-Shaq shite out of me.

Arizona State basketball standout Jalen Graham enters transfer portal

Jalen Graham, Arizona State's lone All-Pac-12 selection, has entered the transfer portal.

The 6-foot-9 forward out of Mountain Pointe averaged 9.9 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.7 assists starting in 22 of 29 games this season. He scored in double figures in 13 of the last 18 games of the season, highlighted by a career best of 19 points in ASU's loss to USC on Feb. 3. He shot .486 from the field this season and .528 from the free-throw line.

Graham has steadily improved his production from 3.2 points as a true freshman in 2019-20 to 8.1 in 2020-21.
He is third ASU player to enter the portal since the season ended.
