he just not that good?
He was a late bloomer, but for arkansas it was just never a good fit. MA didnt show much interest until after kansas and virginia really got involved, but Justice Hill was the preferred option.
Dont think Muss ever showed much interest, and liked the options he had. Understandably.
Happy he got picked up tho, hes a good kid. Would been cool to see him and Vanover continue playing together.
Cant speak to what happened and kansas, but i did find it interesting that he decommitted just before the ncaa notice and the snoop dog/stripper pole midnight madness.

Yeah, it is more about what the other choices were than an indictment on him. For reference, he would be the 5th best player in our class. As of now, it would take a very special guard for us to take a commitment in 2020. I'm glad we have an great 4 right now and JUCOs/transfers we can build off of next spring.

From Kevin this morning:
quote:
Although he is still working toward completing requirements to graduate from high school, 2020 national Top 35 / 4-star prospect Kyree Walker would still like to visit Arkansas in the near future, according to his Dad, Khari Walker.
The stated goals have not changed from what has been expressed by the Walker camp for weeks: Complete high school requirements, name top four colleges, visit Arkansas, possibility of re-classifying to 2019 and enrolling at spring semester, with professional basketball options also on the table for consideration.
"We're in Arizona, but we've been paying attention (to Arkansas)," Khari Walker said on Monday. "He's maybe a week or so away from naming a top four, and they (Arkansas) will be there. Tell them (Hog fans) we're planning on coming (for a visit)."
Walker (6-5 combo guard) played as a sophomore and junior at Hillcrest Prep in Phoenix but is not playing during his senior season.
In two seasons at Hillcrest Prep (2017-18 and '18-19), Walker played in 55 games and averaged 27.2 points, 9.7 rebounds, 7.2 assists, 3.0 steals, and 2.3 blocks, according to MaxPreps.com. Walker averaged more than 30 points a game in '18-19 for Hillcrest Prep.
Walker's 2019 spring and summer were busy as he took part in prestigous Pangos All American and NBPA Top 100 camps in June in addition to playing for 17U Dream Vision on the Adidas Gauntlet circuit covering the months of April, May, and July. Arkansas coaches were able to evaluate him at Adidas events in both Dallas (late April) and Hoover, Ala. (early July) as well as the NBPA Top 100 Camp in Charlottesville, Va. (mid-June).

Short version. Nothing has changed even though time is running out. Got it.

More like months
I think most of us would be happy to have him but are not as hung up about it as before. We have had enough to worry about the last few weeks.

he would be a great addition and could be a big flurry of points for a struggling offense I like it

I bet he is a very high priority for Muss and staff. His offensive ability would not only put us in the tournament, it would move us up at least a couple seed lines from where we are now.

Switch of plans. Arkansas’ head man Eric Musselman will join Clay Moser to watch Kerwin Walton play tonight, in addition, they will meet with Walton after the game.

He may admire arse but not have it on his own personal menu. This is very important information to uncover. We need to get on this.
