Stuff like this makes it real hard to not be apathetic about the football program

This makes zero sense for him professionally. Playing under Briles play calling alone is more beneficial to him.

Briles isnt the only playcaller in the country that can get the ball into a talented receivers hands and I guarantee he lands at a school which has a more experienced and potentially more talented QB than KJ Jefferson.

Im not bashing KJ, but to say it makes zero sense is a bit much. Woods, can certainly drastically improve his draft stock this year if he makes the right transfer. I wish he wouldnt, but i dont blame him for looking out for his own best interests

There is no way he can replicate the volume anywhere else. We will likely be playing behind most games and will be throwing A LOT. He would be one of the focal points of the offense.

Probably a case of a bigger school contacting him and using the new transfer rule.

That is the only thing that makes sense since he was tweeting his love for the program just a few days ago. This new transfer rule may kill us if the top schools are allowed free reign to poach from us.

Sounds like he values himself as some kind of deep ball savant and some other school got in his head about not getting that many this year with our QB running more and lots more offensive options than last season. Pair that with a coaching staff that probably doesn’t coddle players like the previous one did, and I can see how he justifies a transfer to himself.

It sucks for our program and fans, but hopefully we can also find talent in the portal. I’m also not one to wish him luck for leaving and certainly don’t feel like he’s owed anything by Razorback fans. I don’t wish him ill will of any kind, but if you aren’t with us then you’re against us.

I said earlier I don’t think him leaving is just a sky falling moment but I am curious, if we can prove that another school reached out to him to encourage him to transfer wouldn’t that be breaking some ncaa rule

We can't for this season or it would count against the '22 class...and WR was the last thing we needed to spend another scholarship on IMO. Just sucks all around. Wish it was like basketball where you could just go pick up a guy when one leaves just like that.

It’s for sure against the rules, but we know how the NCAA and rules work. I’m sure we have our own feelers out for players at other schools, or we should anyways.

Best thing would’ve been for this to happen before spring ball, and we let Sanders stay at receiver to get more reps there. Hopefully he still got receiver work and we can move him if Green comes in and lights it up at RB.

I'm with you on this. I wish him success in life in everything but football. Sorry not sorry.

I’d bet 100 bucks on Lincoln Riley.

The 2018 Chad Morris recruiting class loses another one.

LINK

Pool, Foucha, Bishop, Gerald, Nichols the only remaining participants.

Woods mom on Twitter said it wasn’t anything to do with Guiton.

I think wanting a bigger spotlight is closer to the mark. It's not every day an incoming freshman recruit to a major DI football team also chooses that time to try to kickstart a youtube career. I think he's eat up with the social media brand building aspect of things and thinks a place like OU (assuming the OU/bigger program rumors are true) will help with that.

So moving past woods who’s the next man up? I’m assuming Knox or Crawford? Warren will probably fit in somewhere and with JDW stepping up in the slot maybe he can play out wide? we’ve still got guys like Hammond and sanders too who might could play in the backfield or out wide.

Already over it...

As is he...

Let's move forward and allow Guiton to get these youngsters up to par. Guiton was recently in an article about up and coming coaches..

We have all Summer to condition, and work with these fellas...

Nah, I don't think it has anything to do with that. The rumor all along has been him butting heads with the new WR coach. Apparently there are a few versions of what the issue is between them floating around out there but nobody seems to know for sure.

Is Guitton a little rougher than Coach Stepp?

If it was KJ sucking dick, he would have left right after the season when Frank’s declared.
