I am all for it. Our football team has been piss poor for a while now so we can use all the help we can get.

Bro is going to have them taking ayahuasca trips in no time.

Between spring and fall practices, I refuse to get excited about anything. No matter what sunshine pumping the media does. I think like most fans, I want to see actual success in games

I think you'll be waiting a while. This team is going to be REALLY bad IMO. Not just a bad record but we lose close games, I'm talking getting blown out in the vast majority of games.

My expectation is 3 wins. I would love to have those exceeded.

Any particular reason why?

I just don't think the roster as a whole will be competitive.

The defense cannot get any worse than they were last year. So I'm going to assume that they will improve. Whether it's significant or minor improvement, they should improve.
Offense... it all starts with OL. Can they block well enough to establish the run.
And then it comes down to QB play. I think people are going to be shocked how much fall off we will see at that position. We no longer have the QB whisperer on the sidelines coaching them up.
HOPEFULLY the new OC can make whomever gets the starting nod a threat. A mobile QB can make an average coordinator look good. Hopefully if the passing ability of these guys is up to snuff so we wont need them to run. But at least the two competing for the starting roll are mobile enough to make something happen if needed.
Until we see the offense in the first couple of games, it's anyone's guess how they will look.

I think you are dead wrong.... Not saying we are contending for a playoff spot... I just don't think this is a historically bad roster. Now I will say that is assuming we get QB production.
I think the defense is going to be light years better... Coaching is light years better...
and you can't even really measure the new coach effect. Especially going from a ho-hum guy like Pittman to an energy guy like Silverfield.
I think realistically we could see 6ish wins which I think would be a very good start to this era. 4-5 is probably more likely.
I guess we will find out soon enough.

I will be STUNNED if we win more than 3 games
Posted on 4/24/26 at 11:21 am to ElDawgHawg
I agree with this and it could be because I just have a certain level of optimism regarding this team. Who the hell knows why other than I am excited that Pittman is gone and figure it can't be worse than that shitshow.

You could make the case this is the most talent we’ve had since the 2021 season.
The defense has cornerstone pieces in Rhodes, Johnson and Shaw. There are several interesting pieces in the secondary group in Harrison, House, and Lee. And DT has a few in Osborne, Sims, Jones, and Odom.
Neither of those position groups have been adequate for going on 5 years now.
Offensively everything starts with QB which is the largest unknown. But you return Kitler, Courtney, Branham to OL and add Williams, Breland, Roberson to the mix.
A strong OL bodes well for a strong run game which hopefully opens up what is probably a weak WR room.
