I think realistically we could see 6ish wins which I think would be a very good start to this era. 4-5 is probably more likely. I guess we will find out soon enough.
4-5 wins
Maybe Cuckachek should consider shutting down the program like he did with Tennis

After last year and basically gutting the team and starting over, 4-5 would be a sign of life I think.
I'm getting sick of the negativity..... yea it sucks to suck, but let's TRY and be at least a little bit positive.

This is where Razorback football is in a world of NIL madness. Enjoy paying for this shite show.

I think the dline should be the best we’ve had since at least 2021. We actually have depth there for once. Oline should be average at least acoording to sec standards if not above average. We’ve got some returning starters there plus some solid portal hits should have 7 or 8 serviceable bodies. Secondary can’t get any worse and the bodies out there seem much better, so hoping for the best there. Receivers are serviceable and the tight end room is pretty bare but the key to whether we win 6/7 games or 3/4 will be qb play. And we have to understand in the new 9 game conference era and nil with parity unlike we’ve ever seen before, 6 wins is the old 8, 8 wins the old 9/10 win teams, and if you win 10 games that’s like winning 11 or 12 in the past and gets your playoff ticket punched.

I mean that’s just the reality of the past few years. Look at the sec title game the past couple years. teams with 2 or more losses. Look at the current win totals for each team next year according to Vegas compared to 10 years ago. The best teams in the league are only set to win 9/10 games. Could a team still run the table? Sure, but they’ll be like Indiana last year and dominate almost everyone

Isn't this the goal? Or is it just to compete?
Fans aren't going to continue to support a 5-6 win team and neither are the donors.

NEW: Arkansas head coach Ryan Silverfield tells @PeteNakos he's ready for the challenge
"I don’t know, when we line up, how we even match up against Utah. I don’t know how we match up with Georgia in our first SEC game from a talent standpoint. So let’s be the best in the country in the controllables. Best in the country in attitude. Best in the country in effort — those things have nothing to do with talent. We’re going to harp on that all the time. Best in the country in how much film we study, and the execution and discipline."

If you don't know then that means it will be a long year.

Pretty sure most fans are prepared for it. The others have their heads in the sand or wearing hog colored glasses.

I’m usually positive when it comes to our football team, I just feel like this hire has fail written all over it
ESPN ranks us as having the worst offseason in the SEC after we went 0-8

16. Arkansas Razorbacks Key additions: OT Bryant Williams, LB Khmori House, CB Jahiem Johnson Key departures: QB Taylen Green, RB Mike Washington Jr., OL Fernando Carmona Top incoming recruits: DT Danny Beale, RB Terry Hodges, DT Anthony Kennedy Biggest coaching move: Arkansas fired Sam Pittman in late September and went 0-7 under interim coach Bobby Petrino, preventing any chance for what would have been a mind-blowing permanent return. The team hired Memphis' Ryan Silverfield, who compiled a staff with significant SEC ties, including defensive coordinator Ron Roberts (Florida, Auburn), special teams coordinator Chad Lunsford (Auburn) and co-defensive coordinator Deron Wilson (Florida, Arkansas). Silverfield added offensive coordinator Tim Cramsey and other assistants from his Memphis staff. What went wrong: Silverfield successfully overhauled a roster that finished 2-10 last fall, signing more than 60 newcomers for his debut season at Arkansas. But the Razorbacks also failed to retain a number of potential veteran returners who might have helped ease his transition in 2026, including offensive tackle E'Marion Harris (Oklahoma), and defensive linemen Ian Geffrard (Texas) and Justus Boone (Wisconsin). There's intrigue with quarterback AJ Hill, who followed Silverfield and Cramsey from Memphis, but the program features little experience under center between the former top-100 recruit and redshirt sophomore KJ Jackson. After returning wide receivers CJ Brown and Jalen Brown, the Razorbacks are betting heavily on upside in the passing game between transfers Donovan Faupel (New Mexico State), Jamari Hawkins (Memphis), Chris Marshall (Boise State) and Jelani Watkins (LSU). What went right: Arkansas bolstered its backfield options alongside Braylen Russell with Michigan transfer Jasper Parker and ex-Memphis rusher Sutton Smith, who rushed for 669 yards and seven touchdowns on 102 carries last fall. For a crucial rebuild on the offensive line, the Razorbacks secured experience around returners Kobe Branham and Caden Kitler, adding Memphis' Malachi Breland (20 career starts), Ohio's Davion Weatherspoon (27) and Williams from Louisiana (15). The retention of 2025 sack leader Quincy Rhodes Jr. marked a major offseason win on defense, where linebacker transfers such as House (North Carolina) and Phoenix Jackson (Baylor), and defensive backs Johnson (Tulane) and Christian Harrison (Cincinnati) should help Roberts efforts to retool the nation's No. 129 scoring defense (33.8 PPG) from a year ago. Silverfield salvaged the program's 2026 recruiting class with late commitments from in-state four-stars Beale, Hodges and Kennedy.

The write-up acting like Geffrard and Boone were big losses makes me question the whole thing
Posted on 5/6/26 at 9:11 am to gohogs141
I was thinking the same thing. I was never impressed with geffrard. Dude got carried 8 yards by our current backup qb to ice the Memphis game last year.

They don't know just making assumptions.
Posted on 5/6/26 at 12:41 pm to dchog
The fact we’ve been bad for a few years makes negative assumptions easier for talking heads and fans alike

I’m now even more convinced 2-10 is incoming
