Bobby will be on the sideline.

I mean. How the hell else is going to be able to tell the Cole beer when to call TOs and manage the entire game?

***SPRING FOOTBALL NUGGET***

I was told again that they anticipate the line to be a lot better, Mateos has been very deadest on attention to detail, and is extremely well liked. I know it’s very early but this is a sub 15 sack line at this moment. We need 1-2 more additions at this point, i they they’ll add one of each.

Taylen Green is a complete leader, and fits with the mold of what BP is wanting to do. I have been told that we will be going vertical a lot this year and that the WRs finally mold what we are wanting to do with the passing game.

Regarding WRs, Sategna has looked phenomenal and is a write in to start (if he stays). I am now confident in saying that he is staying another year.

Spence is the real deal and will probably start at LB regardless of them most likely bringing another one in soon. Come April, we should hear more on the transfer front.

Here is the big ***rumor*** that I have heard from multiple people. They seem to think that Petrino is in the process of a coup and that Pitt will be the head guy for this last season, regardless of over performing. He seems dead set on “program revival” and wants to get to retirement soon. Another source close to the situation has told me that “they didn’t bring BP in for no reason”.

One word that I have been hearing non stop is “culture”. That seems to be the motto for this year.

More later this week/early next. @everyone

Our fans and their sources are their own worst enemy.

The Hogs were so bad last year it will be difficult to evaluate them in the spring. It could just be a bad defense against a bad offense that makes them look better.

Made me chuckle. Is Petrino going to show up to practice with a Russian mercenary army?

I saw quite a few in a video from a few days ago, then BP put them under center.

Saw a lot of Pistol formation as well.

We really need the SMU center I think. Nichols may be a good guard but not comfortable with him at center. And we’ve never seen Wiggins much either

I don't believe there is any 'coup' in the works. That implies a hostile takeover.
Now, there could be a behind the scenes plan in the works, with all pertinent parties 'in the know'. I'd be more likely to believe that, but everything rides on how ready Pitt is to retire and how the season goes.

Is it just me, or is there very little talk about spring practice? Have we all just lost interest?

I actually just googled to see if we had played the spring game already.

This is sad.

Nobody gives a shite about a 5 win team and the typical spring lies aren't going to work anymore when your coach is lame and so is your AD.

Apathy is actually not a strong enough word to describe the supporters of the progran right now. And it's all at the feet of the Ath Dept as they watch Rome burn.

Carius Carne just decommitted and is rumored to be headed to Ole Miss or LSU so that’s exciting news.

sad thing is we’ve been so bad for so long ole miss is looked at as a school firmly ahead of us on the tier list and I can remember a time not too long ago when I thought of them as beneath us

Not taking any bait. Not a bite. Will wait to see how season goes.

Football can't get here late enough. It's been shown to us time and time again that no one with a modicum of power is interested in investing in its repair. Even with the weird, Calipari-style meltdown, my excitement for next year's basketball team hasn't waned. I stay excited for baseball, even after 2018 all but proved we were cursed and couldn't win another NC in a major sport. frick that curse, it has to sleep some time.

But football is just a long con that swindles tens of thousands of rubes into making traffic suck every Saturday during fall.

You rang? I just can't help myself.. Counseling might help, but doubtful. I am forever hopeful that one day, one fricking day, we will put it together and be a force to be rekoned with. We shall see!
